Some of the best creativity comes from lack. When I started this journey 5 years ago, I didn’t have a camera, a plan, or followers. All I had was a vision of serving my family in a way that allowed me to be more present.

I don’t come from a family of entrepreneurs, so leaving my well paying career was not met with immediate support. I also don’t come from a family of wealth, but I don’t allow what I’ve never seen to hinder where I want to go. I remember growing up being the kool cup kid just to put my school clothes on layaway, and that hustle has never left me. One thing I know is that just as easy as it was given, it can be taken away. Therefore, I move with humility.

I may not have 100,000 followers (yet) but what I do know is that God can do a whole lot with just a little bit. So here’s to five years of faith, hustle, and gratitude. 🙏🏽 🙌🏾🎉

It’s ok to be a little selfish.

When you’re striving to live the life you desire, oftentimes that takes sacrifice.

It takes saying no things that don’t align with your goals or even things that simply don’t fulfill you.

It takes saying no to people who drain you, even if they mean well.

It takes saying no to your family when you need a beat to yourself to fill your cup.

It takes saying no to anything and anyone that doesn’t protect your heart or mental peace.

Growth requires pruning in dry areas. It’s not selfish if it’s growth. 🌱
