The page is where most of the action happens – it’s fun and friendly with guidelines about not being the right place for … well, bad behavior. A dear friend of ours started Boulder City Social over 14 years ago. Originally, it grew out of a few comical posts she made about the initial culture shock that came with moving from Los Angeles to a small town like Boulder City. Now, the website at bouldercity.com has grown to an audience of over 28,000 folks who follow us on our page as well as X (Twitter), Instagram, Threads and the Weekly eNews Summary. Now – with four social media channels, a website and a weekly eNewsletter to choose from, anyone can be a Boulder City Socialite! That’s a little bit of history for you. We spent some time this morning at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, Boulder City’s grand opening for their visitor center. So exciting! This facility is going to be an amazing addition for the Boulder City community. Several dignitaries were in attendance, including Representative Dina Titus, Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony, Mayor Joe Hardy, Council Members Cokie Booth, Denise Ashurst, and Steve Walton, Jill Rowland-Lagan, Boulder City Chamber of Commerce CEO, City Manager Ned Thomas and his lovely wife, Cherlynn, Deputy City Manager Michael Mays, Museum Director Dr Christopher MacMahon, and a host of others.
