🌀 Nostos, journey of the soul 🌀
New studio mix, new musical chapter
This is a non-linear set that combines hypnotic techno, deep house and electronica like I've never done before, yet recording it felt like coming home. For the music geeks, it features polyrythm mixes between techno and electronica. It is the culmination of my 18-year DJ career across multiple genres and a statement for my future.
As a dancer and as a DJ, I don't see music as merely a tool for partying, but as a gateway for exploring what's within and beyond. At its core, electronic music was a safe-space of expression by and for the marginalized, yet with time, popularity and the evolution of culture, it has partly become what it wanted to avoid. Music has always been political, and especially with the current state of the world, I felt the need to disconnect from the bar & club environment to reconnect with my passion for music.
After a hiatus of a few months to question, experiment and rebuild, I'm back burning with passion and vision. With something more raw and avant-gardiste, aligned with my values. I'll be playing less often to focus on crate-digging, production and learning instruments to propose more unique, tailor-made experiences in the right places to the right crowds. Because I think the scene (and the world in general) benefits from less quantity and more depth, creativity and authenticity.
