I’ve made it 43 years on this gorgeous earth! Your girl ain’t trying to lie because she’s earned every second! So grateful to be alive on the Earth at 43. Ladies, let’s stand up and say NO to the social norm of talking down to and being more displeased with ourselves and our lives the older we get. What the heck are we doing that for?

We are freaking WARRIOR GODESSES!!! 💪🌻

Yes YOU are!!! You have the right to take up massive space in the world as the feminine powerhouses that you are!

We’re not in the backseat or even riding shotgun. We have the power to change the world when we finally take the drivers seat in our own lives!!! We can lead, we can create, we can thrive even in chaos! Let’s never minimize the power that we are!

Baby boy Brock is 15 as of yesterday! I love being your mom Brock and love watching you grow into such a fun handsome young man. I hope you had the best day and have the best summer! Ps. I’m not even joking 🤪😉🎂🎉🥳❤️

She followed her heart and quit dance! I couldn’t be prouder…and yet, my heart feels so many things.

I have so much to say! I’m so proud of this girl for setting a goal and dancing her heart out through her whole childhood. It has been such an incredible journey to witness—watching her work so hard and express herself so beautifully through the art of dance.

She has loved dancing, her studio, and her team so much. 🥹🙌💃🩰👯‍♀️

And now I’m just as proud of her for listening to herself and having the courage to step down when it felt right—even though it’s just before her senior year. 🤯

I’ve had mixed emotions. Deep ones. It reminds me so much of when Avia made the same kind of decision with cheer and how that brought up a sense of “did I enjoy it enough? Did I soak it in the way I should have?”

Love these rascals!!! Ps we miss you Gav! Avia surprised us last weekend by showing up for Emmi‘s last dance recital (more to come on that later I have so much to say, and a lot of pictures!!!). She literally made it there one dance before her solo! Thanks to grandma and grandpa Butler the surprise was a success. We had no idea! 🎉😮🤩

I’m so grateful for memories like these. Kids grow up so fast and sometimes we can get caught up in the stress of the every day. I know I do. Don’t beat yourself up if you feel like you’re not “soaking in every moment”. We’re always doing our best at any given moment.

I’ve realized that when you can give yourself grace especially in the moments where you feel shame and want to beat yourself up, then being present with your kids in the important moments comes more naturally. Shame takes us out of the present moment so giving yourself love will put you back into your life.
