Beanibazar (Bengali: Upazila of Sylhet District in the Division of Sylhet, Bangladesh.

History The name "Beanibazar", is a variant of 'Bihani Bazaar' which means "morning market". It is one of the richest city in Bangladesh. In the past, Beanibazar was surrounded mostly by jungles infested with wild beasts that attacked people regularly at night. Beanibazar has an average literacy rate of 37.4% (7+ years) compared to the national average of 32.4%.
