We (at long last) moved into our van and hit the road! Had the most gorgeous August in the UK, ate so much good local produce, and spent more time outdoors than ever (yes, even got tans in Wales!)… until the rain and winds arrived, revealed some window leaks, and literally blew our door off its hinges!

We grounded ourselves in Brighton while the van lived in a garage for six weeks. Then in November, we FINALLY made it over to Europe πŸ—ΊοΈ after more than two years of talking about it!

It’s wild how much we’ve done in just five months. The picture-perfect moments, alongside all the little in-between bits β€” the everyday stuff, the chaos, and the disasters (which somehow make the best stories!)

Van life isn’t always easy, but looking back… WHAT A BEAUTIFUL LIFE WE’VE MADE πŸ₯Ή

To be very real… it’s taken us a while to find our rhythm with rainy days. The three of us living in such a tiny space isn’t easy, and when the weather means no outdoor living, everything just feels that bit more cramped and chaotic.

We live in a vintage van, leaks and all πŸ™ƒ β€” and the rain and wind are definitely our biggest challenge (although thankfully it stays surprisingly warm in here!)

BUT, after three months (or so) living in it full-time… we finally feel like we’ve got into a groove of how to actually enjoy and β€˜romanticise’ the rainy days, rather than wishing them away.

What’s one small thing you do that makes gloomy days feel more cosy?
