San Sebastián Dump 🇪🇸🍢🫒🥖🥩

After getting the ferry over from Portsmouth to Santander with our van (and FINALLY starting our Europe adventure in Spain) we headed straight to San Sebastián!

We spent 10 full days here, which we loved. We wanted to ease back into van-life, get everything reset, cleaned up, and also take the opportunity eat all the goodness San Seb has to offer — and you better believe WE ATE.

The weather wasn’t perfect, in fact we had lots of showers, and a couple of days of 60-80km winds… but that didn’t stop us from enjoying ourselves and eating ourselves into daily food comas (we’ll share a dedicated food post of recos soon, don’t worry!)

We just can’t believe that this is only the beginning of our trip & already our minds are blown! And Ziggie being here with us for the ride makes it all the sweeter!

So… are we official van-lifers now?! 🙌🏼

𝑷𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑰𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒚 💌 (that got lost in the mail)

Earlier this year we spent a few days in Tuscany on our way to a friend’s wedding in Sri Lanka — flights were somehow half the price from Italy, so it seemed rude not to (also, that’s basic travel math right?!)

It also happened to be Mack’s birthday, so I arranged a vintage Fiat 500 rental as a surprise. Mack has always loved vintage vehicles (no surprise with our van!) and we’d often said how cute the classic Fiats were — though we wondered if we’d actually fit!

It was a squeeze (well, for Mack — his head was nearly sticking out of the sun roof), but driving through the Tuscan hills and cypress tree lined roads was like a scene from a movie. We made pit stops in small towns in the Val d’Orcia for gelato & pizza ofc!

Perhaps not the most practical car, but it was such a fun experience and plus it brought a smile to everyone we passed! 🤍

Ohhhh we weren’t sad, we just needed… to fry ourselves in the sauna & chuck a bucket of water on our heads! 💦

In all seriousness though — healed us in ways we didn’t even know we needed. Now the hunt for more campsites with saunas begins!
