đ§ Faith in the KitchenâŚâŚâŚ..
Life Lessons with Samuel â¤ď¸
The other day, Samuel wanted to bake his own cupcakes. After baking a cake with me once, he felt confident he could do it solo. The only problem? He used the right ingredients but with the wrong measurements and without following the recipe.
I let him go ahead, knowing this would be a life lesson. When those cupcakes came out of the oven, they looked okay⌠but one bite told the truth. Yikes!
Lesson I shared with him:
God has a specific plan for your life.
You canât just throw in âthe right ingredientsâ your own way and expect the outcome to be what He intended.
Just like a recipe, we need to follow Godâs instructions, His Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Trying to copy someone elseâs recipe or someone elseâs life will only leave you disappointed. Comparison is a thief of joy. The only race youâre called to run is the one God designed just for you. đââď¸đ
When you stay in daily union with God through prayer, the Word, church, accountability and the right people. He will guide you step by step into His sweet and perfect plan.
ââProverbs⏠â3âŹ:â5âŹ-â6⏠â(AMPCâŹâŹ)
âLean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.â
Proverbs 3:5-6 (Living Bible)
âIf you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; donât ever trust yourself. 6 In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.â
