From the Heart of Africa to the World: My Journey as a Global Remote Executive Assistant
My journey didn’t begin in a co-working space or at a corporate desk. It began in the heart of Africa, where the sun rises early and determination runs deep. I started out with a laptop, a patchy internet connection, and a desire to create something more for myself, and eventually, for the visionary leaders I now serve.
At first, it was just about learning. I taught myself how to use scheduling tools, manage inboxes, and coordinate calendars. I quickly realized that time zones weren’t barriers, they were puzzles I could solve. I became obsessed with mastering the art of time: how to align a founder’s pitch call in San Francisco with a coaching session in London, and a team check-in in Sydney, all from my modest home office.
It wasn’t long before word started to spread. One client became two. Two became five. Coaches, startup founders, consultants, and small business owners from around the world began to rely on me not just to “keep things running,” but to stay focused, present, and in flow. They delegated the chaos, and I brought the calm.
The more I worked remotely, the more I saw how geography was no match for excellence. I wasn’t just an assistant. I was a partner. I helped launch products, build out backend systems, manage customer communications, and create clarity in the middle of fast-moving priorities. My background taught me how to be adaptable. Remote work taught me how to be indispensable.
Every day, I bridge continents and time zones, aligning calendars, solving problems, and supporting people whose missions inspire me. From investor calls to mastermind retreats, I help make the moving parts click seamlessly behind the scenes.
This isn’t just my job. It’s my calling.
And it all started with one belief: you don’t have to be in the same room to make a big impact.
