In grade 7 Mrs Reuter's class , it was announced that we had a new kid who would be joining our class. He was tall, dark, and from eGugulethu. We sat together in Math class, and from the beginning, I felt like I just gained older brother. There’s so much I could say about the memories we shared—the good and the bad—but what I want to focus on today is how deeply you will be missed.

You will be missed for your charisma and character, for the way you lived with honor and integrity, and for how you always took care of the people you loved. We may have only gone to school together for a year before high school, but in that year, I found a brother I will cherish and remember for the rest of my life.

Rest in peace, Nkululeko. You will never be forgotten.
