I still laugh thinking about a friend who literally ran to but honestly, I get it 😂

There’s a lot of hype around this spot, especially for their stouts, but don’t sleep on their fruited sours either. They’re legit!

The vibe inside is super cool. Science themed with chalkboard menus and even a full chalk mural.

Here’s what I tried:
🍺 Eve of Destruction | Smoothie Sour | 7%
Dragon fruit, passion fruit, and pineapple bring the tropical chaos in the best way. Bold, fruity, and totally refreshing.

🍺 Tropical Hideaway | Smoothie Sour | 5.6%
Inspired by a Dole Whip! Madagascar vanilla and marshmallow meet pineapple for a creamy, sweet tart sip.

🍺 Krakatoa! | Smoothie Sour | 5.6%
Like Tropical Hideaway’s berry loving cousin. Strawberry forward, thick, and extra fruity.

🍺 Hanamachi | Japanese Rice Lager | 5%
Crisp, dry, clean. Classic and crushable.

🍺 Explorando | Mexican Style Lager | 5%
Light with a soft bite. Easy drinking all day.

Also, remember the guy I met at Monkish in my last post? He said he was coming here too. And then never showed. I like to think the full Monkish tap list got the best of him 😅 RIP.

Dreams really do come true 🤩🍻

At the top of my California beer bucket list was , and I was especially excited to check out their location. It lived up to every expectation!

Tucked away in a charming spot, the Anaheim taproom features a shaded patio surrounded by greenery and a cozy indoor space with a long bar and intimate seating. It’s small, but has big vibes.

The beer menu was absolutely stacked. I wanted to try everything. If we didn’t have other breweries lined up for the day, we probably would have!

Here’s what I tried:
🍺 Timeless Fuzz | TIPA | 10%
Hopped with Riwaka, Strata, Enigma. Creamy, smooth, and everything I want in a triple.

🍺 Another Sunrise | IPA | 6.8%
Hopped with Citra, Centennial, Anchovy. Soft, juicy, and a touch sweet.

🍺 Le Petit Pug | Farmhouse Saison | 3.5%
Funky with a hint of sweetness. Super easy to sip.

🍺 Taste the Shapes | TIPA | 10.3%
Hopped with Citra, Rakau, Krush. Lightly hoppy with a sweet finish.

🍺 Unfold the Scroll | TDH DIPA | 8.3%
Hopped with Citra. Slightly bitter but smooth overall.

We sat next to a couple who had just gotten married, and the husband’s goal was to try every single beer on the menu. We chatted for a while, and I even showed him my brewery tracker spreadsheet. His energy was pure joy, just excited to be with his wife, family, and drinking great beer. It made an amazing visit even more memorable.

Finally made it out to the much talked about in California! 🍻

I’d seen so much love for them on Instagram, so I couldn’t wait to finally try their beer fresh from the source.

The space is super inviting with a chill patio outside and cozy vibes inside. I was obsessed with the menu design. It felt like I was ordering beer at a retro diner! They also serve food, but I was focused on the beer.

🍺 Vienna | Amber Lager | 5%
Smooth, slightly smoky, and super crushable.

🍺 Electric Living | Hazy IPA | 6.8%
Hopped with Citra, Galaxy, and Riwaka. Bright, juicy, and just the right amount of sweet.

Also, shoutout to their cat themed merch (which sadly wasn’t in stock when I visited 😭). Just another reason to go back!

2025 Summer Solstice Stout Share ☀️

A few weeks ago, I had the absolute pleasure of joining some wonderful friends for an epic stout share hosted by and what a night it was!

Everyone brought their best stouts and barleywines from different breweries, and seventeen tastings later (yes, SEVENTEEN 🤯), these were my top three:

🍺 Mean Old Tom | American Stout | 6.5% |
Aged on natural vanilla beans, this one was incredibly smooth and easy to sip. You really get the vanilla and a little chocolate in every sip. Light ABV, big flavor, definitely one I’d go back to.

🍺 Stronhmenger | Imperial Stout | 9.7% |
Aged in oak bourbon barrels, this one had a beautifully mellow flavor with hints of chocolate and molasses. Smooth and super satisfying.

🍺 Bourbon County Brand Stout (2022) | Imperial Stout | 14.3% |
We tried 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. This version (aged in bourbon barrels from Heaven Hill, Four Roses, Wild Turkey & Buffalo Trace) was my favorite of the bunch, though 2019 came close. Rich and sweet with notes of chocolate and molasses, while 2019 leaned more into toffee. Both were delicious.

I feel so lucky to have found such fun and passionate people to share nights like this with. Good beer, great company, and memories I won’t forget 🍻

Cheers to 20 years of 's Revival! 🍻

Last week at , we raised a glass to two decades since Narragansett's legendary comeback. The 2005 revival that brought this iconic brew back to life, powered by the community and the unforgettable “Drink Your Part” campaign.

The night was packed with good vibes: live music, fresh oysters from , and endless cold 'Gansetts flowing all around.

I enjoyed one of their year round staples that always delivers.

🍺 Fresh Catch | Citra Session Ale | 4.2%
Crisp, light, and refreshingly dry with a hint of malt. An easy sipper that hits just right.

Here’s to 20 years of revival and many more to come! 🎉🍺

Fun fact: Narragansett Beer was originally founded in 1890. Production came to a halt in 1983, but a passionate local push brought it roaring back in 2005.

I was way too excited when I realized this brewery was literally next door to our hotel 🙌

We had just landed in Santa Monica to kick off the first leg of our LA trip. wasn’t even on our list, but something about it called to me and I’m so glad it did.

From the outside, it looks massive like a never ending building. Part of the parking lot had been transformed into a fenced in patio, but figuring out the entrance was a journey. We awkwardly walked the entire length of the place before the ID guy called out that we were going the wrong way. Oops.

Once we made it in, it was packed which makes sense for a Saturday night. The beer menu was HUGE. Half was year round, half seasonal. Obviously, we had to try the seasonal ones:

🍺 Psycho Pistachio | Pals Ale | 4.8%
Creamy like a cream soda. The pistachio really starts to shine as it warms, and the vanilla bean adds just the right touch of sweetness.

🍺 Posh | London Lager | 4.1% | Collab with
Brewed with 100% British hops. A crisp, classic lager that instantly transported me back to my London pub days. So nostalgic.

🍺 Head in the Clouds | Hazy DIPA | 8.5%
Hopped with Summit, Citra, Mosaic, and Wakatu. Super juicy and bursting with flavor. I totally get why this one’s award winning!

We wanted to try more, but it was loud, and we were running on travel fatigue.

Also, can we talk about the bathrooms?! I was too stunned to speak when I saw actual privacy barriers between the stall doors. Like, zero chance of accidental eye contact here 👏 I couldn’t stop talking about it all night 😂

While in California, I ended up visiting two locations. Frst up was (check out my February post), and now it’s time to talk about ! 🍻

This spot couldn’t be more different. Located inside the bustling , it's a massive space that also doubles as a full restaurant. I didn’t try the food, just dove straight into the beers. Priorities, right? 😏

The vibe was lively (and packed). We grabbed seats at the bar, but it was still pretty crowded, with people constantly standing around to order or sip nearby. A little hectic, but worth it for the pours we tried:

🍺 Stone 28th Anniversary | Hazy Double IPA | 8.5%
Hopped with Mosaic & Nelson Sauvin. Dank, juicy, with a solid citrus punch.

🍺 Stone Fresh Hop IPA | Double IPA | 7.9%
Hopped with Centennial. Earthy, grassy, with a mellow sweetness.

🍺 Stone Tangerine Express IPA | Fruited IPA | 6.7%
Hopped with Magnum, Centennial, Citra, Sterling, Mosaic, Simcoe, Cascade & Azacca. Bright citrus notes and just the right amount of sweetness.

Also, funniest moment of the day. I was washing my hands in the bathroom, looked up and made direct eye contact with a man staring back at me. We both froze. Turns out, the mirrors are half glass, half open so you can literally see into the other wash area. We just laughed and walked out like, “Well, that happened.” 😂

Crowded or not, it was such a good time and totally worth the visit. Cheers to brewery adventures! 🍻

Did you know women were the original brewers of beer?

At , that legacy is alive and thriving! This 100% female-owned and operated brewery is crafted by women, with beers brewed for women. Bold, flavorful, and unapologetically unique.

The space itself is a vibe. Located on a sunny corner lot with a huge courtyard filled with colorful murals. Step inside the taproom and you’re instantly surrounded by warmth, culture, and creativity.

Their brews are infused with Latino flair, using ingredients and fruits rooted in Mexican tradition. The flavor combos are bold, refreshing, and like nothing you’ve had before.

🍺 Amor a la Mexicana | Mexican Lager | 5.1%
Crisp, clean, and super drinkable. A perfect warm day sipper.

🍺 Fiesta en el Barrio | Mexican Amber Lager | 5.5%
Smooth and sweet with light caramel notes, a malty base, and a root beer-like finish.

🍺 Oktoberfiesta | Marzen | 5.5%
Malty with subtle black tea notes, unexpected and totally delicious.

Whether you're a beer lover or just here for the vibes, Mujeres Brew House is an experience worth toasting to!

Located just a short walk (down a big hill!) in downtown San Diego, East Village Brewing is all about high quality beer made with real, wholesome ingredients. No artificial flavors, extracts, animal based products, or GMOs here.

What really stood out? They told us they rarely repeat a beer recipe. Instead, they’re always working on something new or putting a fresh spin on a past favorite. Love that creative spirit!

🍺 Flight of the Peach | Ale | 7%
Brewed with organic California peaches and bursting with juicy flavor. You can taste the peaches in every sip. So refreshing and absolutely delicious.

Also, shoutout to the dog that stared me down like I owed it a beer for a solid 20 minutes 😂🐶

One of my most unforgettable San Diego sips came courtesy of 🍻

I only had a little time here after a long day of brewery hopping, and I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Still, I’m so glad I squeezed in a few pours because wow!

🍺 Pandan Frozen Shine | Hard Seltzer | 5%
This drink lives rent free in my head. Thick, bold pandan flavor, and pure bliss. I’d drink it in summer, winter, a storm, even a hurricane. Honestly? I want it daily.

🍺 Buko Pandan | Hazy IPA | 6.4%
Hopped with Citra Cryo. This is basically the IPA version of the frozen. Slightly hoppy, but the pandan still shines bright.

As of March 2025, GOAL. Brewing has left the Brewery Igniter facility and is searching for a new, bigger space. More room to brew, barrel-age, and continue making magic.
