It sure is time to go to sleep on this Friday evening, but not before celebrating two of our alumni!!! ❤️ I found this picture in the archives from an early on podcast episode in our first year of The Cardinal Chirp…where Paris and Liv were talking about the upcoming Louisville Fall Festival and their prior experiences as royalty! Fast forward to July 25, 2025 and now they both sit with crowns on again at the county level.

Congratulations to the retiring Miss Clay County Fair Queen Paris VanDyke and Congratualtions to our new Miss Clay County Fair Queen, Olivia Haun! Both of you shine beautifully from the inside, out. Your genuine kindness is infectious. Your hard work is admirable. And, the love you have for your community is evident! We have always been so proud of you + now we celebrate you again!! Love you both!! 👑

Long time, No see, friends! We are now T-3 Weeks until the first day of school! 📚✏️ In the business/technology room, I spy a couple of new creative additions! Just wanted to say a big “Thak You” to Kara Gaddy for using her talents to improve our space and offer some new filming backgrounds for this school year! She sure brought my vision to life!

The rest of the room? Still in summer shambles 👀🤣 but fun things are coming in ‘25-‘26! Who’s ready? (I’m not yet…but I will be!) See you soon!

Happy Last Day of School North Clay! I wanted to give one final update before we headed home for summer break! Through our Cards Care Fundraiser, the NCHS Business/Technology classes were able to gift a check of $1,560 today to HS English Teacher, Hanah Clark, in support of her husband Christopher who is battling kidney failure and waiting on a transplant.

I wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU to our community members and businesses who supported this Cards Care Fundraiser effort. I feel really grateful that in our content area we have the ability to create. But, what is more important to me is that we take our creative abilities and we also teach our kids how to serve and how to give. Through this opportunity, my students were able to experience all three and that is one of the best things I can teach. Thank you for supporting our efforts to create, serve, and give back to those who hold a special place in our heart. These things wouldn't be possible without YOU. The NC Community is special and I am so grateful to be a part of it.

The final episode of Season Two is here! Truly, thank you for watching this year and for hanging in there with us throughout the season. It wasn't always easy, but we did it and I am so proud of how we finished the year together and the memories that we made along the way. This one is only 8 minutes and I think it's worth it, if you watch it all the way to the end.

Oh and great news! We've been renewed for another season; so we'll see you next year on, The Cardinal Chirp! Congrats to this special class of 2025...you will be missed!

WHEW. It's been a busy few days. Thank you to everyone who ordered from our Cards Care Fundraiser! We had almost 190 orders from our NC community and every time I pressed a shirt, it got a little more humbling. Thank you for being a part of this fundraiser and for helping us raise money for Hanah and her family. Thanks for also always taking one of my wild ideas and just going with it.

Orders are now in offices or being sent home with students today! If you need to pay for your order still, please do that as soon as possible. Offices are only open until 3:30 PM today for pick-up, but you are welcome to grab them next week as well!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I hope that every time you choose to wear this shirt, you are reminded of what a blessing it is to be a part of this community! 🖤

Saw a meme the other day that said, “We’ve reached the point in the school year where the students are acting like siblings who’ve been stuck in the car on a long road trip for just a bit too long.”

Allll the giggles and lots of togetherness as we try to finish this school year off strong. 😅Or maybe Cocomelon says it best…”Are we there yet? Not Yet.” 👀🤨
