For my prejudging, I am wearing a classy yellow-laced “Kebarung” in chic and exclusive modern design worn with a majestic blue turquoise mini Songket corset.

“Kebarung” is a combination of Kebaya and ‘baju kurung’ typically worn by Malay women.

Classic traditional accessories elevates the elegance of this design.

MISS SUPRANATIONAL 2023 - SUPRA TALENT

Miss Supranational Malaysia - Deidre Walker

It is an honour to be chosen as of the Top 8 performers for last night’s Supra Talent Show. I am grateful for this opportunity to showcase my Borneon pride onto the international stage. Thank you ❤️😍

Igal-igal is a famous traditional dance in Semporna, one of the districts in Sabah, Malaysia. It is a dance of the Bajau and Tausug or Suluk ethnics.

This dance is also known as Tarian Helang Laut (‘Sea Eagle Dance’). The word ‘igal’ itself originated from the English word ‘eagle’. The dance movement is like an eagle’s movement in flight and also has elements of blowing wind and waves.

The musical instruments are usually kulintangan, gong and tambur (drum).

This dance is performed yearly during the Regatta Lepa (boat) Festival or Pesta Sambulayang (Sambulayang Festival).
