IMPORTANT NOTICE — haikuNetra ON AN INDEFINITE HIATUS TILL FURTHER UPDATE

Dear Contributors,

haikuNetra has been facing a technical issue for quite sometime regarding its submission email. A few responses for Issue 1.6 were being sent in the beginning which as I enquired with poets later, weren't received. I began looking into the matter and found a software bug infecting my desktop and making most of the emails inaccessible. The draft file of Issue 1.5 which was half completed became inaccessible. An OS upgrade was suggested for my system by the technician for which an order has been placed. The previous scheduled dates of publication don't hold anymore as the response emails couldn't be sent on time. As the problem persists, it's going to take a while. Dealing with a few family health issues at the same time has made it quite difficult for me to sit down and focus on sorting these issues.

I NEED A COMPLETE MAKEOVER TO RESTART THE JOURNAL. I ALSO NEED TO ENSURE THIS DOESN'T REPEAT IN THE FUTURE. I AM WELL AWARE WHAT IT IS TO BEAR THE BRUNT OF DELAYED RESPONSES AND UNANSWERED EMAILS.

A NEW MAKEOVER (PRINT & BLOG VERSION) IS IN THE MAKING WITH A NEW SUBMISSION EMAIL. UNTIL FURTHER UPDATES

haikuNetra JOURNAL WILL BE ON AN INDEFINITE HIATUS DUE TO PERSISTING TECHNICAL AND HEALTH ISSUES AND THEREFORE, I REQUEST EVERYONE TO WITHDRAW THEIR SUBMISSION UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE AND RE-SUBMIT ONCE AGAIN WHEN THE SUBMISSION WINDOW REOPENS.

I am trying my best to restart the journal with a brand new outlook from Jan 01, 2025. Until further updates...

Dear Poets/Contributors,

Owing to a broken keypad, it has been a hard task responding to the submissions this time. But it's all done now. All the responses have been sent. Kindly let me know in case I have missed out on any. The introduction of haikuChitra – The Haiga Gallery in the previous Issue 1.4 (Haiga art segment) has yielded some fine artwork submissions this time. The Journal, previously scheduled for 10th Feb, 2024, has now been postponed to be released on 17th February. The contributors' list will go up on 12th Feb, 2024. Those with any sort of queries or to whom feedback has been suggested are requested to revert back by 11th Feb.

Dear Contributors,

The response emails couldn't be sent within the scheduled time frame as previously announced due to certain technical factors. With most of the issues sorted out, I have started reading and responding to submissions from yesterday onwards. Before, the responses were being sent in small batches, but now we are slowly and steadily gathering pace. Thank you for your patience.

The submission ends tonight. Only a few more hours to go. Those who haven't submitted yet are requested to do so by tonight.

The journal is scheduled to go live on 10th February, 2024 (Date is subjected to changes)

As announced beforehand, we are accepting haiga art for the current Issue. Contributors are requested to submit up to five haiku/senryu and 3 haiga/shahai art per submission.
