The problem with addiction, is that the substances seem to understand our pain and that they really get us, making us believe it's a friend to help us through the hard times. That's why connection with others is so important. You're not alone.

This Holiday Season, reach out to those that might seem a little more quiet than usual, and don't forget to check on the friend that checked on you too.

We are diving deep into "Post-Traumatic Growth," the reality of fatherhood without a blueprint, and why he believes you don’t need to be fearless to be brave. If you’ve ever felt like your failures were the end of the road, you need to hear about the "Breakthrough Bunker."

Matt von Boecklin has some insight to Responsibility and being intentional that just might help lighten the load for someone: "Being intentional is rewarding yourself for giving yourself responsibility.... If you're able to take responsibility for bringing other people joy or helping other people, then you might find yourself feeling way better than you thought you would have in your quest for that existential answer. "

Did you accidentally marry a narcissist and now you want a divorce?
They say divorce is expensive because it’s worth it. But when you are divorcing a narcissist, the cost isn't just financial, it’s spiritual warfare.
This week on the podcast, we are sitting down with Kimber Foster, author of Year of Thorns. After 27 years of what looked like a "perfect" marriage, Kimber had to dismantle her life to save her soul. We’re talking about the legal abuse, the emotional manipulation, and how to identify the tactics used to keep you small.
If you are walking on eggshells in your own home, this episode is your permission slip to put your boots on and walk out. 🖤

Intention and direction are crucial for making your energy work with you, instead of letting everyone else choose how you're going to be for you.

(The caption the photographer used for this was great too: "If you are really thankful, what do you do? You share." so thanks my friend!)

Let's unwelcome Anxiety, to Retrieving Sanity!

Anxiety is a hassle that we all deal with, or at least I think we do to some degree. Some, like myself, have had run their lives for years with no end in sight. Others seem to not be bothered much by it, like a mosquito biting their balls, until they go to fix it without thinking about it.

I've unpacked some handy ways to convey Anxiety to those that might not understand it, and some neat tricks for counter-acting it, to make it SHUT UP.

Anxiety can come from being out of alignment with self...

When my generalized anxiety was at it worst, I believed I shouldn't exist, but I did, and that itself caused anxiety because if I'm not supposed to be here, then why am I and why don't I have a manual to help me out!?!?

After examining my own anxiety a lot over the last few years, I've found that my self-defeating/limiting subconscious beliefs were the roots I needed to deal with, but the problem with roots.... they're underground and can't see them very easily. Therefore, I needed to dissect the situations I found myself being anxious in. I had to get curious, if there was a problem I COULD fix, I wanted to find it.

Sometimes, we have to dig into the nasty areas to find out that the sewer drain was clogged, and THAT'S why s**t kept backing up seemingly out of nowhere! It's not easy, it's not fun, but the rewards are amazingly worth it.

My advice; Catch yourself red handed with your feelings, tell yourself "This is going to suck" while putting on your hazmat suit (or whatever else you'd like to envision), then dive into those feelings and thoughts of the feelings looking for what IS YOU. You are in there somewhere, trying to tell yourself what you need, but we let so much stuff get in the way, that we get anxious looking for ourselves, when we've been right here all along.
