Not everyone enjoys autumn as much as I do. Some people who love the summer are feeling great sadness. This is also a common time for people who suffer from seasonal depression to get their first symptoms. So what can you do to perhaps feel a bit better?
In this post I give 10 suggestions that might help.🍁🧡

What to forage in autumn, and how to store it! 🍁🍄

We still have so much left from last year (we found insane amounts last autumn), but can’t help but forage some more this year as well. It’s not only a great source of food, but picking…

I simply have to share this recipe. This delicious salad goes well with most savoury dishes, a great way to add some tasty vitamins to your meal. 🧡

We always devour it within one week max. It’s simply too delicious!

Why are we growing Swiss chard? What are we using it for?
Well, my goal is to be able to use our own crops all year around. A good start is to prep chard for soup season. 😄
Read more about it on the blog! 👇

Now you might wonder, what am I doing with all of this Swiss chard? Eating it all in a salad? No. My plan from the beginning has been to freeze it all, and make soup from it during autumn and winte…

Just had to make a post about the crayfish party we had a few days ago. 🥰

We had our very first crayfish party a few days ago, and it was a huge success. We ate plenty of crayfish, shrimp, homemade gluten-free bread that I baked the day before, and then we finished off w…

Really delicious cookies, and suprisingly good after freezing as well. Good tip if you want to serve homemade cookies in a hurry! 😄

Freezing them also helps us not eat them all in a couple of days… (Yes, they are that tasty!)

Do you have a vegetable garden? 🥕

This year has been a great one in many ways. One big reason why is that we finally started growing some of our own food; a dream of mine for several years. It’s an incredible feeling to harvest crops and cook them for dinner an hour later. 🧡

In this blog post, I'm describing our setup and what crops we decided to try. I also share the lessons we have learned, and what we will change next year.

Please, feel free to share if you have any tips or tricks too! 😊

The blog post is available here:

Overall we’re very pleased with this first year. We low-key prepared ourselves for no harvest at all, since neither of us really had “green fingers” previously. But it has been wo…

Hi there!
It has been a while. Almost two years to be precise. A lot has happened, and life has changed in major ways. (Good ways!)

Therefore, I'm now so pleased to bring this blog back to life. 😊
The name has been changed from Dinflex to Amongpines. I wanted a name that better reflect my aim for a calm and sustainable life in harmony with nature. Blog posts will be about things like growing food, foraging, our calm and fun lifestyle, hobbies, baking, and recipes.

For some who might wonder; no, we are still not planning on having any children. We do want a dog in the future, but for now it's just the two of us.❤️ My posts will still be from a child-free perspective.

If this sounds interesting to you, I recommend that you check out Amongpines.blog. I hope you'll like the new format!

Until next time,
Linda

A lot has happened since the last post on this blog. Almost two years have passed, and my life is now very different. (In a good way!)
