This past weekend in 2014…my first time volunteering in tech at church. I had never been part of a production team at that scale, and honestly had no idea where it would lead.

I started during one of the most turbulent seasons of my life, mostly because I needed something to fill my time to kinda stop from going crazy. It also happened to bring together two worlds I had grown up in: church and video.

What started as simply finding somewhere to serve opened doors I never could have imagined and has led to countless blessings along the way.

Never stop searching for the thing you love to do.

Maybe what our teams need most isn’t new cameras, new lights, or upgraded gear.

Maybe it’s unity.

What if once a month, the entire video crew sat together for the first service?

No cameras.
No livestream.
No switching.
No screens.

Just worship together.
Pray together.
Sit under the message together.

Then serve the rest of the weekend as normal.

Because healthy teams aren’t built only through production meetings and group chats.
They’re built through shared purpose.

And honestly, the world probably won’t end if there’s one less livestream that weekend.
