"Like an archer who stretches the bowstring, may you stretch your body and spirit in Purna Dhanurasana, finding balance, strength, and grace within."
Purna Dhanurasana, also known as Full Bow Pose, is an advanced variation of Dhanurasana. Begin by lying flat on your stomach. Bend your knees and reach your arms back to grab your ankles, similar to the regular Dhanurasana. However, in Purna Dhanurasana, you lift not only your chest and legs but also your thighs and knees off the ground, creating a deeper backbend. Keep your gaze forward and your breath steady. Hold the pose for a few breaths, feeling the intense stretch across your entire body. Slowly release back to the ground as you exhale. Purna Dhanurasana strengthens the back muscles, improves flexibility, and invigorates the entire body. Practice with caution and under the guidance of a qualified yoga instructor.
