This is a written statement from Alex Parker. Co-founder and Director of Run Tingz.

“As some of you would have heard on the grape vine, I was arrested in late October and charged with conspiracy and intent to supply class A & B drugs.

I was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court today.

I'm not hiding from this, I’ve been remanded in HMP Cardiff for the past 6 months and am still to find out where I will serve the rest of my sentence.

I fully understand the seriousness of my crimes and have been preparing myself for a lengthy sentence since I was first arrested.

I offer my sincerest apologies to everyone affected, not just people close to me and my family. As someone who has struggled with addiction for 25 years, I can relate to anyone suffering in this way. I'm 24 weeks clean now, so hopefully at some point people can be helped by my sobriety.

A lot of people have contacted me or people around me asking what's going on with Run Tingz. Unfortunately due to the nature of my crimes, the studio was turned over really badly. Most of the backbone of the studio, including computers, hard drives, etc., were seized.

Run Tingz Recordings will carrying on, for any enquiries please message this page and somebody will be taking care of our projects.

In the last year, I have been producing music again as Run Tingz Cru, working alongside the talented producer Kommz. I have managed to save the release schedule, which will be running bi-monthly. 15 years of Run Tingz is coming, so I've also got a multimedia package that will be released this year.

WORLD WIDE JUNGLE OUT NOW 🌴🍃🌿🌍

“World Wide Jungle” is the latest track from ‘Run Tingz’ and ‘Isaac Maya’, ‘Ft Queen Omega’ and ‘Da Fuchaman’ released on ‘Jungle Cakes’.

Bristol based crew ‘Run Tingz’ have collaborated with ‘Isaac Maya’, originally from Mexico City, Maya is one of Latin America’s biggest Ragga Jungle artists.

“World Wide Jungle” has Isaacs signature, frequency shaking vibe. Coupled with the classic Run Tingz sound, vibrating synths and tight snares with plenty of risers to boot.

Duo on the lyrics is ‘Queen Omega’ and ‘Da Fuchaman’.

On stage and in the studio, ‘Queen Omega’ brings with her conscious messages, with Caribbean notes. While ‘Da Fuchaman’ from originally from Jamaica and 2018 best reggae artist in the SW shows off his skills as a singer and writer.

in light of mental health awareness week On Your Mind UK are back this evening with their third panel event to discuss mental health in the music industry. With talks and professional advice from those in mental health charities, counsellors and DJs in an effort to raise essential awareness of mental health struggles and reduce the stigma around opening up. Tickets are £5 and this will be a donation to the charity.
