Christina Milian will take over Naya Rivera's role in the Step Up TV series, US cable network Starz has announced.

Rivera, who previously starred in Glee, drowned in a boating accident in California last summer.

Milian will now take over playing her character, Collette Jones, for Step Up's third season.

"I am so excited to join the Step Up family," Milian said. "I know I have massive shoes to fill. Naya was incredible."

She added: "I hope to honour Naya, her family, friends and fans with a great performance."

Rivera, best known for playing cheerleader Santana Lopez on Glee, went missing during a boat trip with her four-year-old son at Lake Piru.

Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski set another Bundesliga scoring record as the leaders overcame SC Freiburg.

The Poland striker's early opener saw him become the first player to score 21 goals in the first 16 matches.

Lewandowski, whose 10 goals in the first five games this term also set a record, is on target to surpass Gerd Muller's 40-goal mark set 49 years ago.

Freiburg substitute Nils Petersen levelled with a second-half header before Thomas Muller won it late on.

Bayern, whose German Cup defence ended in midweek when knocked out by second-tier side Holstein Kiel in a penalty shootout, took just seven minutes to take the lead against the Bundesliga's in-form side.

Good work from Serge Gnabry on the right and an excellently weighted first-time pass from Muller found Lewandowski in the box, with the prolific Pole's fine turn and shot beating goalkeeper Florian Muller to his left.

Freiburg had the woodwork to thank for denying Lewandowski a second after the break, with Leon Goretzka's effort on the rebound then well saved, before Petersen levelled with a diving header just moments after coming off the bench.

Muller got on the end of a knock-down pass from Leroy Sane soon after to seal a victory that moves Bayern four points clear at the summit.

Freiburg, however, were unfortunate to have their five-match winning run ended by a defeat after Petersen hit the the crossbar in stoppage time.

Australian journalist Cheng Lei, after months of detention in China, has been formally arrested on charges of supplying state secrets overseas.

Prior to her detention, the Chinese-born Australian had been a TV presenter for Chinese state media outlet CGTN.

Chinese authorities confirmed her arrest on Monday, adding that her legal rights would be guaranteed.

Ms Cheng was detained in August and charged last Friday, Australian officials had earlier said.

At a press briefing on Monday, Chinese ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said he hoped Australia would "not interfere with China's handling of this case", according to news agency Reuters.

Canberra has repeatedly raised concerns with Beijing over Ms Cheng's detention.

"We expect basic standards of justice, procedural fairness and humane treatment to be met, in accordance with international norms," said Australia's foreign affairs minister, Marise Payne.

"Our thoughts are with Ms Cheng and her family during this difficult period."

YouTube star JoJo Siwa has told fans she has "never been so happy" after coming out on social media.

In a post on Twitter, the teenager shared a photo of herself wearing a T-Shirt with the words 'Best. Gay. Cousin. Ever.' printed on it.

She later told fans she was not ready to put a label on her sexuality, but that coming out felt "awesome".

Celebrities including Paris Hilton and Ellen DeGeneres supported the 17-year-old on social media.

Siwa first found fame on the reality show Dance Moms, which documented the tantrums and triumphs of a group of pre-teen dancers in Pennsylvania. The American dancer, singer and YouTuber - known for her massive colourful hair bows - now has millions of followers.
