Here's mine: a fun urban fantasy about demon hunters. It was one of my favorite books last year, and I can't wait to read the sequel!

Which genres or tropes do you like to read in the summer?

I feel like cute romance novels are perfect for summer, and I'm pretty excited for this one: my friend's debut. Coming this September, it's the first in a romance series about medical students. Fun fact: the author used to be a doctor, so she definitely knows what's she's writing about!

✨ Yellowface ✨

Do you have any fond memories from Bookstagram?

A little trip down memory lane:
I remember getting a Yellowface ARC (my very first ARC!) and being over the moon about it. R.F. Kuang is a writer that takes you by surprise, changes writing styles and genres flawlessly, and makes every single book compelling and hard to put down. It's no surprise I found Yellowface to be my favorite book of 2023, and I will continue to read anything R.F. Kuang writes.

so...for my most anticipated book this year, I am begging for a Katabasis ARC , please 🥹 (and praying to the book gods even though I'm not religious)

Christmas definitely came early for me, because I was NOT expecting to see this ARC on my doorstep. I love V.E. Schwab, so this made my day (maybe even my year in books)! Excited is an understatement, to say the least. Thank you so much !!

✨ Daughter of the Moon Goddess ✨

This retelling of Chang'e is beautiful, gripping, and heartfelt. If you've been looking for a romantic fantasy with a love triangle done right, it's here. Highly recommend this duology! (the companion Tales of the Celestial Kingdom is included here but meant to be read after the duology).
