This morning we woke up to the news that our group Earthly Mamas has been removed by FB. We are heartbroken, but we’ve seen this glitch affecting several other groups and those groups have been restored, so we’re hopeful. We’re going to give it a few days, but if we need to, we will restart the group.

Please comment on this post if you’d like to be notified when the group is open again, or of the new group if we end up needing to create one! Please note that any groups that are not under the Mamas After Midnight page are NOT our group, we have had someone try to create a group with our groups name already, but this is not us or any of our team.

Please pray or think positive thoughts for us. We have spent years building this group to what it was, and losing it is heartbreaking.

it’s Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) awareness day.

the type of pregnancy people refer to as “morning sickness”

when in reality it’s so much more than just that.

it’s throwing up 30 times a day and sometimes even throwing up blood.
it’s IVs, ER visits, and a million medications.
it’s losing weight while hoping your baby gains weight.
it’s not being able to enjoy pregnancy and feeling guilty for feeling so miserable.
it’s not being able to enjoy family events.
it’s not being able to get out of bed because you’re so weak.
it’s fainting because you are so dehydrated.
it’s not being able to drink water or eat a meal.

this isn’t just “nausea”
it’s your body barely surviving while everyone tells you to “eat some crackers” or “well my morning sickness went away”

Don’t forget to fill her stocking. Don’t just put random junk in there. Go in the bathroom, see what makeup/skincare/soaps she uses. Buy her favorite sweet treats. Gift cards to her favorite coffee shop.

It doesn’t have to be lavish. Just INTENTIONAL.
