A FLASH FLOOD WARNING is now in effect for Hamilton, Comanche County. Multiple inches of rain have already fallen in the warned area and flash flooding is imminent or occurring. Turn around, DON'T DROWN! You never know how deep the water may be.

FIRST ALERT: The flooding risk has increased considerably overnight into Sunday morning for the hill country. Additional rainfall could lead to flash flooding and flooding of local rivers and creeks. Make sure to have multiple ways of receiving warnings just in case!

6:30 PM Radar Update: The showers across McLennan County have only resulted in some brief heavy downpours and some minor flooding in the most flood prone areas...which has thankfully NOT led to any Flash Flood Warnings. We are also keeping a close eye on a line of storms approaching the San Saba and Goldthwaite areas.

Just a reminder that we are keeping a First Alert Weather Day in effect from now through tomorrow. A Flood Watch is in effect until 7 PM Sunday for areas along and west of I-35. Instances of isolated flash flooding are possible, but widespread rain is not expected.

FIRST ALERT: A flood watch is now in effect for most of Central Texas until Sunday evening. Heavy downpours are expected today, tonight, and tomorrow and may lead to instances of flash flooding. Rainfall totals between 1" and 2" are possible with these storms, but downpours could send isolated totals to near 6" in a few spots.

FIRST ALERT: A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Bell County until 9:30 PM. This storm is weakening, but the rainfall rate is up to 2 inches per hour. Be prepared for some heavy rain around the Bell County area. I anticipate this storm will dissipate within the next hour or two as it dumps the last of its rainfall. Remember - TURN AROUND DON'T DROWN.

This video taken by Bradley Vaughn KWTX shows the San Saba River flowing along County Road 110 in San Saba at around 3 PM Tuesday. There is a Flood Warning in place for the San Saba River, as it is expected to reach the minor flood stage (24 feet) early Wednesday morning.
