The Story of the Egyptian Caracal — For Those Still Confused:

Yesterday, a female Egyptian caracal appeared near the border in Sinai…
She confidently crossed over, bit several IOF soldiers then returned to her land with pride and dignity — as if saying, “I’m here, and no one messes with our soil.”

But who is this fierce heroine?

The Egyptian caracal isn’t just a wild cat…
She’s a fierce predator from the lynx family — the queen of the desert, with an undeniable presence.
Her beauty was so captivating that our ancient pharaohs carved her image on temple walls — a symbol of strength and majesty.

And the most incredible part?
The Egyptian caracal is rarely seen by humans…
But it seems even she’s had enough. She broke her silence, came out to teach a lesson, then vanished back into her domain.

ভেনিস: পানির নিচে বনভূমির ওপর ভাসমান এক শহর

৪২১ খ্রিস্টাব্দ থেকে ভেনিস শহরটি কোটি কোটি কাঠের খুঁটির ওপর দাঁড়িয়ে আছে। ইস্পাত বা কংক্রিট নয়, বরং মূলত এল্ডার কাঠ এবং কিছু ওক কাঠ দিয়ে পুরো শহরটি গড়ে উঠেছে।

লবণাক্ত পানির সংস্পর্শে এসব কাঠের খুঁটি পাথরের মতো শক্ত হয়ে গেছে। শুধুমাত্র সেন্ট মার্কস ক্যাম্পানাইল তৈরিতে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে ১ লক্ষ কাঠের খুঁটি, আর বিশাল বাসিলিকা ডেলা সালুতে গড়তে লেগেছে ১০ লাখেরও বেশি খুঁটি! সেই সময়ের দক্ষ নির্মাণশ্রমিকরা এগুলো সমুদ্রের তলায় পুঁতে দিয়ে এক বিস্ময়কর ‘জলমগ্ন বন’ তৈরি করেছিলেন।

এই কাঠামো প্রায় তিন মিটার গভীর পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত, যেখানে খুঁটিগুলো অর্ধ মিটার ব্যবধানে বসানো হয়েছে। পানির স্তর থেকে ১.৬ মিটার নিচে এই অসাধারণ মধ্যযুগীয় প্রকৌশল ১,৫০০ বছর পরও ভেনিস শহরকে দৃঢ়ভাবে ধরে রেখেছে, যা পৃথিবীর অন্যতম বিস্ময়কর নগরী।
