My biggest Kinusaiga project yet!

I’ve been working on this large ocean landscape, and my new video is finally ready!

For this one, I decided to make it a complete step-by-step tutorial, from cutting and preparing the foam board right through to adding the wire hanger on the finished cradle frame.

Along the way, I share how I choose my fabrics to create light, shadow and depth, how I match each new piece of fabric with the colours around it, how I handle those tricky intricate pieces, and even how I change the design or replace a fabric when something just isn’t working.

If you’re new to Kinusaiga no-sew fabric art, you can start with this video — I’ve covered the entire process from beginning to end.

I love how this ocean scene came together, especially the way the sunlight changes the colours across the landscape.

Ever wished you could take a small pattern and make it BIG?

That’s exactly what I needed to do for my next Kinusaiga project — which happens to be my BIGGEST one yet!

In my new video, I’m sharing the simple method I used in Canva to enlarge a smaller design and print it over multiple sheets of paper, creating one large pattern.

I’m definitely not a Canva expert 😂, but after a little trial and error I found a method that works for me, so I thought I’d share the process with you. This could be handy for all kinds of crafts — fabric art, painting, signs, wall art and anywhere you need a pattern larger than your home printer can normally handle.

And you’ll get a little peek at what I’m working on next! 👀

Woohoo! Just finished my 3rd satin fabric art. I have done a gorgeous Camellia! Love how it turned out. From fabric scraps to a finished art piece. The Magnolia, Orchid and Camellia are now a set that I can hang on my wall.
If you have not tried this beautiful fabric art form than you are missing out. It's so relaxing to do and you end up with art that you made from scratch. No paint, No sewing!

I’ve been experimenting with satin fabric scraps for my flower series, and this time I decided to create orchids. The satin gives the flowers such a beautiful sheen and depth.
For this project, I also tried something a little different with the background. It turned out much more colourful and abstract than my magnolia, almost like a painted artwork. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but I think it gives the orchids a completely different look!
This video is a little different too as there is no talking throughout the process, just music while you watch the artwork come together. At the end, I share some thoughts about the fabric choices I made.

My newest Kinusaiga project is finished!

I'm excited to share this elegant Magnolia Kinusaiga Fabric Art with you! For this project, I used satin fabric to give the petals a beautiful soft sheen, creating a realistic and delicate look.

In this tutorial, I share tips on choosing different shades of pink for depth, placing intricate fabric pieces, clipping curves to make tucking easier, selecting background fabrics that complement the flower, and even how to change a fabric if you decide a different colour works better.

One of my favourite parts of this project was turning satin fabric scraps into something beautiful. It's amazing what you can create with a little imagination!

I hope this tutorial inspires you to give Kinusaiga a try or to look at your fabric scraps in a whole new way.

Im a bit late posting this one!

I'm so excited to share my sea turtle fabric art with you! This is part of my ocean-inspired Kinusaiga series, and in this tutorial I share some of my favourite techniques for creating movement, choosing fabrics, and adding depth to bring the turtle to life.

One of the things I love most about Kinusaiga is that every piece is made from fabric—no paint, just carefully selected fabrics tucked into the design to create a unique work of art.

I explain the differences between XPS foam board, Styrofoam, and other foam products, along with the various thicknesses available and how to choose the right one for your project. I also demonstrate an easy way to cut foam board using a thin utility knife and show how to fit it into a shadow box frame for a professional-looking finish.

Getting the right foam board can make all the difference in your Kinusaiga projects, and I hope this tutorial helps take the mystery out of the process.

Just finished a beautiful Peony Kinusaiga project and I'm excited to share the entire process with you!

In this new tutorial, I show every step from selecting the design and choosing fabrics to creating the finished artwork and fabric-wrapped frame. I also share how I used ChatGPT to help generate design ideas and explore color combinations before starting the project.
