The Diocese of Uyo, Anglican Communion, recently hosted a one-day conference for the children of clergy and catechists at the New Generation Faith Church on Idoro Road, West Itam Deanery. The gathering brought together children of clergy from across the diocese.

The conference featured various activities, including:
- A keynote address on the theme "The Right Example" based on 1 Timothy 4:12

- Interactive sessions
- "Bishop's Wife Hour" with Mama Uyo, Lady Zilpah Owen Ukafia JP

The bishop expressed gratitude to the host church, Ven. & Mrs. Eric Ukanwa, for their hospitality and commitment to advancing the kingdom of God in West Itam Deanery.

EPISCOPAL EASTER MESSAGE FROM BISHOP'S DESK.

Beloved in Christ,

As we gather today to celebrate the glorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, I want to remind you that the power of resurrection is not just a historical event, but a present reality that can transform your life. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our faith, demonstrating God's unparalleled power over death, sin, and darkness (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

The angel's words to the women at the tomb remind us of the power of the resurrection: "He is not here, but has risen" (Luke 24:5-7). This message has the power to change lives. Through the resurrection, we have hope in the midst of despair (Romans 15:13), victory over sin and death (Romans 6:8-11), and new life in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).

The Impact of the Resurrection on Our Lives
The resurrection gives us:

1. Hope in the midst of despair: God can bring light out of darkness, just as He did for the disciples after Jesus' crucifixion (Psalm 30:5).
2. Victory over sin and death: Through Jesus' resurrection, we have the power to overcome sin and death, living a life that reflects the character of Christ.
3. New life in Christ: The resurrection offers us a new life, filled with purpose, joy, and peace, free from the bo***ge of past mistakes.

As believers, we are called to embody the power of the resurrection in our daily lives:

1. Loving others: We are to love others as Jesus loved us, demonstrating His love through our actions and words (John 13:34).
2. Living with purpose*: The resurrection gives us a new sense of purpose, freeing us to live a life that honors God and impacts those around us (Ephesians 2:10).
3. Sharing the message of hope: We are called to share the good news of the resurrection with others, that they may experience the same hope and transformation we have (1 Peter 3:15).

CONCLUSION.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is more than just a historical event; it's a present reality that can transform our lives. May we celebrate this Easter season with renewed hope, joy, and purpose. May the power of the resurrection guide us as we navigate life's challenges.

May God bless you and keep you. May His face shine upon you and give you peace.
