Monoreels is celebrating its birthday. 🎬
When I created Monoreels, the idea was simple:
To give actors — especially those outside of London — access to a premium, cinematic showreel service that allowed them to showcase their talent immediately.
Not months down the line.
Not only when the next casting came along.
Not stuck using old footage that no longer represents who they are now.
I wanted to create something affordable, professional and performance-led. Something that helped actors stop standing still and start taking control of how they present themselves.
Because waiting to be cast should not be the only way an actor gets to show what they can do.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of filming so many incredible performers. We’ve seen actors use their Monoreels to get booked, secure new opportunities and finally have footage that reflects their ability.
And personally, it’s also introduced me to actors I’ve later gone on to cast in my own productions — which has been one of the most rewarding parts of the whole journey.
So over the next two weeks, we’ll be celebrating the actors, performances and stories behind Monoreels.
