Kiera and Just Say Jose’
I met Kiera about 4 years ago (she was 13 years old) when I had absolutely no understanding of horses. At the time she was interning for Mirka Crew - Posture Focused Training training wild mustangs at Southern Cross Ranch.I didn't know what a mustang was besides it was the mascot from the high school I graduated from. I tried to go and watch them train the mustangs or horses once a week to take pictures.
One day I was recording Kiera's training and said, "It's something you all can take those two sticks and make the horse do tricks". She immediately said, "These are not sticks, they are dressage whips". I told I did get some good pictures, so I showed her. She said these are not good . I told her they were good because they were clear and in focus. She starts showing me the position of the legs, head,and things I had no clue about.
In my opinion the best example I can give about photography is this; there are many types of doctors. If you have a specific health concern (heart, kidneys, or teeth) you will go to someone who specializes in that area. This is the same for many fields, such as mechanics, chefs, teachers, bakers, and many others. Cows, horses, and drones are areas we're still working on understanding, and improving.
