One month ago, we welcomed Kulfi,( )a rescue from Cashmere, WA, into our family! This little guy has come a long way - from trembling in the car to tackling 4-mile hikes. He's been an absolute rockstar on the trails, friendly, obedient, and respectful to all. Here are some highlights from our latest adventure. Kulfi conquered almost the entire hike, except the last 0.3 miles, when he decided to take a leisurely ride in the backpack.

Just back from my dream trip to Yellowstone, and it exceeded all expectations! Months of planning led to a 3 am wake-up call, and boy, was it worth it. Lamar Valley did not disappoint, and I'm still reeling from all the bear sightings!

For years we've admired pictures of the Columbia River Gorge's wildflowers set against the mountains, and this year on my wife's birthday, we finally made the trip and were left mesmerized and joyful. The day, which was about two weeks ago, was partly cloudy, not too hot, and offered stunning views of Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood - simply perfect!
