The Supreme Court of Jamaica has ordered that the state pay $120 million to George Williams, the man who spent 50 years in prison and 42 years without a review.

The judgment was handed down by Judge Sonya Wint-Blair a few moments ago. Williams is to receive $42, 000, 000 for vindicatory damages and close to $79 million for compensatory damages.

Guinea Bissau Ambassador Visits Police Headquarters in Banjul

Inspector General of Police Seedy Mukhtar Touray, June 18th received the Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea Bissau to The Gambia, H.E. Luis Camara De Barros, along with Mr. Domingos Monteiro Correa who served as Director of the Policia Judiciaria(Head of Crime Management) at the Police Headquarters in Banjul.

The courtesy visit gears to strengthening bilateral security cooperation and enchanced regional law enforcement collaboration between the two sister countries.

The Police Boss reaffirmed The Gambia Police Force will continue maintain an effective security cooperation across the region.

IGP Touray extend his warmest regards receiving his counterpart in his office. He strongly support the importance of effective regional police partnership and encouraged both parties to institutionalize information - sharing and joint operations to combat transitional crime and promote public safety across the sub - region.

Ambassador Luis Camara a man of integrity, career diplomatic and presidential expert adviser in the government of Guinea Bissau calls the collaboration timely and indeed support the importance for both nations to protect their sovereignty and citizens from combating crimes and violence.

The Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani recently held a phone conversation with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran HE Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian.

Both Head of States discussed a refresh diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The two golf countries highlights ways to support and strengthen bilateral relationship and other developments in the region.

His Highness the Amir reiterated the State of Qatar's condemnation and denounciation of the recent Irael aggression targeting the territorial of the sisterly Islamic Republic of Iran.

Sheikh Tamim calls the attack on Iran a flagrant violation of Iran's sovereignty and security.

Amir of the State of Qatar consider the act a clear breach of the rules and principles of international laws.

He stressed the need to reduce all form of aggression and escalation.

He calls for a peace talk between the two countries in the region.

Iran: Barrages of Missiles Hits Irael Buildings

On thursday night two middle east countries Israel and Iran struck barrages of missiles that cause a major city damages.

On thursday night 12 June after a loud explosion rocked the Iranian Capital City, Tehran. Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Kats announced the declaration of a "special situation" across the country in response to escalating tensions with Iran.

On Saturday June 14, Iran's Defense military fires back at Israel, rocket missiles from Iran were launched that hits residential buildings of Ramat Gan near Tel Aviv, despite international community calls for peace and de-escalation.

Iran heavily relaliates as air raid and explosions rang across major sites and residents causing destruction buildings, vehicles and street strewn.

Iran called on it's citizens to unite in defence of the country.

Israel authorities said dozens of missiles from Iran hits residential buildings and some were intercepted by Israeli defence team.

Adding that Israeli emergency rescuers said two people were killed and 19 wounded in the coastal plains during the air strikes.

On thursday night, Israel military earlier launches rocket missiles causing destruction and targeting key site of Iran's nuclear and military facilities, killing top Irani's military leadership.

Israeli Airstrikes Killed Iran Commander - in - Chief in Tehran

In a televised state media report earlier on friday morning Major General Hossein Salami, Commander - in - Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps(IRGC), was killed in overnight Israeli airstrikes targeting the Iranian capital city, Tehran.

Tension in the Middle East continues to cause harm, damages, fear and dead among residents of Iran.

In a major military reshuffle at Iran's top military leadership, Major General Amir Hatami has been appointed as Chief Commander of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, by order of Commander - in - Chief Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

This degree of order was announced officially on Friday 12th June in the capital city of Tehran.

Major General Hatami military leadership appointment sealed confidence, dedication and experience at leadership level.

Major General Hatami who previously served as Iran's Defense Minister from 2013 to 2021, now is in charge as the nation's regular military forces command during this regional tensions.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced Friday evening the beginning of its response to the Israeli aggression by targeting the occupied territories with hundreds of various missiles, in an attack dubbed "True Promise 3." The IRGC said in a statement that it launched hundreds of various ballistic missiles at the occupied territories in response to the attack launched by the Israeli entity at dawn Friday against multiple sites inside Iranian territory.

Gambian U-17 captain and highly-rated winger Alieu Drammeh is set to extend his stay at FC Barcelona, with a new three-year deal reportedly agreed in principle. The La Masia standout is expected to officially sign the contract once he turns 16, according to Spanish journalist Carlos Monfort.

Drammeh, who currently features for Barcelona’s Cadet A team, has quickly become one of the brightest young talents in the club’s academy. Known for his explosive pace, sharp dribbling, and eye for goal, the winger has been a standout performer both at youth level for Barça and on the international stage with The Gambia U-17 side, where he wears the captain’s armband.

The deal, finalized in principle by his representatives and the club, highlights Barcelona’s commitment to securing the future of their most promising talents. The official signing will take place once Drammeh becomes eligible to sign a professional contract upon turning 16.
