We will do this through promoting the positive aspects of our community that go largely unnoticed as well as by providing a positive outlook on the news and events in our community. cing our own original content starting in 2016 we are always willing to share the positive news from other local sources as well. We are Positive Press and we are here to provide all POSITIVE stories . . . all of the time . . . from YOUR community.

The Mayor’s race will be decided in a runoff on Tuesday, September 23. This election will shape life in our neighborhood and across Mobile for the next 4–8 years.

To put it in perspective: only 41,000 people voted citywide in the last round, and turnout is expected to drop by half. That means just 20,000 people will decide the future of 200,000 residents. Our district had one of the lowest turnouts in the city — but if we change that, our community can have an outsized impact.

Here are 3 ways you can vote:

1. Election Day

2. Early In-Person Absentee Voting

📍 Government Plaza, Multipurpose Room (First Floor)
🗓 Monday, Sept. 8 – Thursday, Sept. 18
🕘 9 AM – 4:30 PM
✅ Quick and easy — usually less than 10 minutes! Make it a lunch break or early dinner outing.

3. Absentee Ballot by Mail

Perfect if you can’t get downtown or have kids away at college.

Happy Birthday to two of Mobile Alabama's greatest legends, Satchel Paige and Ted "Double Duty" Radcliffe.

In a 1932 doubleheader Double Duty hit a grand slam and caught the Satchel shutout in the first game, then threw a shutout of his own in the second.
