: Nando Ward 1 Labour Party Members attended a Solid Monthly Grassroot Meeting & Canvassing.

The Labour Party Members of Nando Ward 1 holds their monthly solid meeting today, 29th April, 2024 at Abube-uno Nando.

The meeting which started at exactly 2pm today, was hosted at the house of Chief Gabriel Nwaeze (Ọzọ Nwayọ), having in attendance Labour Party Members from Nando Ward 1 and new members.

In the opening remarks, Hon Sir Ik Aniakor, Director General Macpee Campaign Council for Anambra East and West welcomed all present. He further brief everyone especially new members on the transparency efforts of Labour Party in Nando Ward 1 and the Strengthening them on their bold steps in identifying with the best amongst all other party.

Recall that Nando Ward 1 Labour Party initiated a solid monthly meeting of members to canvass, encourage and create a harmony amongst members. It is also a way to seal member's unity of purpose and enlarge the Labour Party family in Nando Ward 1.

Today, welcomed new members, the progress of the party was discussed and the confidence of members strengthened a thousand folds.

Finally, The intentions of a formidable structure cannot be taken for granted, Labour Party Nando Ward 1 remains on the pacesetters list with great number of members to ensure a solid victory of Labour Party in any election contested.

Governors Soludo, Otti, Senate President Akpabio Mourn Senator Okonkwo

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has joined family, friends and well wishers to mourn the departed late Senator Annie Okonkwo.

A funeral mass in his honour was held at St Paul's Catholic Church, Ojoto and was celebrated by the Archbishop of Onitsha Archdiocese, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke, assisted by the Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, and other clergymen.

Governor Soludo, while commiserating with the wife, Lady Chinyere and her children said that the late Senator Okonkwo lived a purposeful and impactful life, describing him as a great son of Ojoto, Anambra, Nigeria and the world.

Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, top government officials including serving and former senators ABS members of house of representatives, business moguls, attended the funeral mass.
