It starts with a bald head, a makeup chair and a whole lot of faith in blending…
And a few hours later, Deva Station Steven MacLeod is standing at the altar as a Justice of the Peace, legally marrying two people in love. ❤️
That’s still one of my favourite things about what I get to do.
You get to watch the transformation from Steven to Deva — the makeup, the lashes, the wig, the dress, the jewellery, the whole damn production — but the biggest transformation of the day isn't mine.
It's watching two people walk in as partners and walk out MARRIED. 💍
Because underneath all the glitter, rhinestones and ridiculous amounts of makeup, I take this part very seriously.
Yes, darling… the Drag Queen can legally marry you. 😂
And I can promise you one thing:
Your ceremony doesn't have to be boring.

Well… you fabulous people did it again!! 💋🌈

The 4th Annual Halifax Shopping Centre Drag Me to Dinner & Bingo was an absolute BLAST, and thanks to every single one of you, we raised an incredible $2,751.00 for the amazing The Youth Project Youth Project Halifax! ❤️

Can we hear it for Deva’s Steven MacLeod ridiculously talented partners in crime…

I couldn’t have asked for a better group of co-hosts. They brought the laughs, the chaos, the glamour… and only a little emotional damage. 😜

To everyone who came out, bought tickets, played bingo, screamed “BINGO!” (sometimes a little too early 👀), donated, laughed, and supported such an important cause… from the bottom of my sequined heart, thank you.

Every card played, every dabber slammed, every prize won helped support the incredible work the Youth Project does for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth right here in our community. That is something worth celebrating.

Now… about next year…

Let’s just say we’ve already started cooking up some wonderfully ridiculous ideas.
