Back on Bennetts British Superbike Championship support class duties for TNT Sports Bikes this weekend. I told Reggie that I'm away again; as you can see he's really cut up about it.

Season 11 ✅

A pleasure as always with ABB Formula E crew and I really hope you enjoyed watching it as much as we did making it. See you in December!

Been absolutely flat out lately so haven’t had time to upload stuff from Berlin, but here’s the moment we crowned Oliver Rowland as the 2025 Formula E World Champion from inside the box.

Back on BSB this weekend for TNT Sports. In completely unrelated news I’m off to work for an estate agents afterwards.

Quick recap of Round 2 of the BTRDA Clubmans Rallycross Championship for TBM. Motorsport.

#332 - Tom Brooks

The Civic’s gremlins continued as we went through two ECU’s trying to fix a hesitation that was costing me drive and power, meaning I was slower than a snail going up Ben Nevis - sadly it didn’t work and I had to drive around it for the rest of the day. Then the fuel pump died during Heat 3 (thanks Alex Fletcher for giving us his spare!), and Dad got it fixed just in time for the Final before the car died on the dummy grid and wouldn’t restart.

I didn’t have a single race without an issue and I’ll be honest it was probably the most frustrating day of racing I’ve ever had. Clearly there are some big problems with the car (that’s what can happen when you buy someone else’s race car I guess!) and I’m torn between spending probably a lot of time and money trying to fix it, or building another Clio 182 from scratch to run alongside Dad’s in future.

#3 - Neil Brooks

Dad had a much better day overall despite some issues in his repaired Clio after rolling last time out. He won Heat 1 after an incredible drive (his first in 33 years!), then got caught up in a start line crash in Heat 2 and then a broken lower arm causing a DNF. Heat 3 saw a spin after starting from the back as he tried to avoid contact on the opening lap also, but still managed to finish the race in 4th.

For the Final, Dad managed to make a great start and drive to finish on the podium with P3 at the end of the day. A great job by the old man and something to smile about after spending most of the day trying to sort out my car!

A great event as always by the BTRDA, the officials, marshals, and also the nice weather helping out! Dad will be back out for Pembrey in July, whilst my calendar is full of clashes for the rest of the year - probably a good thing whilst we try to sort the world’s most unreliable Honda out!

Heat 1 didn’t go the best for me with another electrical issue but we’ve changed the ECU ahead of Heat 2. James Hunt himself on the other hand only went and bloody won it!

A bit about me!

Hello!

I’m Tom. I’m a Sports Commentator and Journalist and I’ve been working in media since the age of 13. I started out volunteering for a local radio station whilst at secondary school, presenting various shows over my seven year tenure there, including the Breakfast Show for nine months at the age of 16.

Whilst studying for my GCSEs, I decided that I really wanted to have a career that I’d enjoy and having been fascinated with motor racing for as long as I can remember (even attempting to race once upon a time), coupled with using my voice on an almost daily basis, working as a sports commentator was something that really did appeal to me. At the time, I was also writing for a few Formula 1 news websites too.

I began by commentating over some old racing videos and sticking them up on YouTube and before long it began gaining some traction. By pure chance, a friend I worked with in my part-time job was a sim racer and said that the series he raced in produced highlights which were likely to be broadcast on television.
