📢 Road Closure Notice Union Quay 📢

As part of the works to Trinity Bridge for the Morrison’s Island Public Realm & Flood Defence Project, it will be necessary to temporarily close both lanes of Union Quay between the junction with South Terrace and the junction with Copley Street from Monday July 28 to Friday August 29 2025. As a result, there will be no left turn from Copley Street onto Union Quay. ⚠

Vehicle access will remain in place from Copley Street onto Union Quay by right turn towards the School of Music. South Terrace and George’s Quay can still be accessed via right turn from Anglesea Street at the junction with Infirmary Road. 🛠

Advance warning signage will be in place and diversion routes for the affected streets will also be signposted. 😎

R613 Ballygarvan Road, Carrigaline, Co. Cork.
08:00hrs to 18:00hrs (Daily Closure) on Monday 11th August 2025 to Friday 22nd August 2025.

Alternative Routes:
Traffic in Carrigaline will be diverted on to the R611 onto the L2493 Forrest Road. Turn right at the junction on to the R600 to Fivemile Bridge. Traffic from Ballygarvan will be diverted on to the R600 to Fivemile Bridge and on to the L2493 Forrest Road and on to Carrigaline turning left at the R611 junction at Forrest Road.

Road closure in place from 1900hrs to 0630hrs to facilitate STC Project. The closure is from its junction with Ballyvolane Road (Fox and Hounds) to its junction with North Ring Road to facilitate Road crossing works for additional services.

As a result, Route 207 will operate with a minor diversion, and will not serve bus stops 241511 and 241551 near Ballyvolane SC both directions.

Route 207 can be accessed at bus stops on North Ring Road and Ballyhooly Road.

📆 Mon 21st July - Mon 25th August 2025

Road Closure in place from its junction with Sharman Crawford Street to its junction with Hanover Street from 0700hrs on Monday the 21st July until 1900hrs on Monday the 25th of August. This is to accommodate road resurfacing works and footpath upgrade works.

🚏🚌 Routes 214, 216:
Customers are advised that due to the closure of Clarke’s Bridge for roadworks, Bus Stop 242741, Wandesford Quay will be closed from Monday, 21st July, 2025 to Monday, 25th August, 2025.

Route 214 and Route 216 will operate on a diversion route via St. Finbarr’s Bridge; Western Road; Mardyke Street; D**e Parade/Sheare’s Street during this time.

Please go to Bus Stop 284791 Sharman Crawford Street to access Route 214 & 216.

🇮🇪 All-Ireland Hurling Final Travel Update 🇮🇪

This Sunday, supporters from Cork GAA and Tipperary GAA will be making their way to Croke Park — many of you passing through County Laois on the way.

🚗 To help things run smoothly, An Garda Síochána have been in contact with Midlink Portlaoise Toll Plaza and can confirm that all toll booths will be open from 7am.

📈 Traffic volumes will be extremely high, so here are a few quick tips to avoid unnecessary delays:
✅ Have your correct change or payment method ready
✅ Keep your vehicle moving efficiently through the toll
✅ Plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey

We hope it a great day for the fans and a safe one for everyone on the roads.
