To all of my friends in Atlanta!!! I’m excited to share a big event coming your way! The HBCU Celebration Bowl brought to you by our partners for “When Everyone Swims” Diversity in Aquatics!

We fully support DIA’s mission to bring equity and water safety to all communities!! Please check out and attend their events if possible.

There will be an invite only screening of “When Everyone Swims” so please contact me if you have interest in attending as seating is limited.

Washington DC, here we come!

On Saturday, October 4th, Howard University is hosting one of the biggest swimming meets of the year in the annual Battle of the Burr where, Howard takes on Georgetown.

And on Friday, October 3rd, Howard is screening “When Everyone Swims” with a panel hosted by Joy Reid who also served as an Executive Producer of the project. The panel will include myself along with Olympic Gold Medalist Cullen Jones, Executive Director of Diversity in Aquatics, Howard student Xavier Ntamere and Howard’s Hall of Fame Coach Nic Askew.

Huge thanks to Diversity in Aquatics, event sponsors and the Howard University swim team.

On behalf of the entire team behind “When Everyone Swims”, we’re delighted to be an Official
Selection of this year’s Heartland Film Festival. Heartland is largely recognized as one of the premiere film festivals around the world and so we’re all very proud and honored for our work to be recognized. And I really appreciate a reason to showcase the amazing artwork from. Barbara Rude- Harkness.

Today marks the start of the College Football season and in 2023, I had the honor of producing a documentary on one of the greatest college football stories ever “The Bright Path: The Johnny Bright Story”. The film celebrates Mr. Bright’s resiliency and self determination during difficult times.

I’m forever grateful to the wonderful crew and partners including Vinaya Sharma, Doug Elgin, Ed McGill Dolph Pulliam, Angela Northington G. Adrienne Lopez , Barbara Rude Harkness Kenneth Lee Sylvia V. Hillman, KJ, Mike Hill and the incredibly talented Justin Crossley

I want to congratulate Dr. Eric Winston on another successful year with his Indianapolis Black Documentary Film Festival and congrats to filmmaker Vincent Singleton (pictured here)for being awarded this year’s Spotlight Award. I hope community support continues to grow for the IBDFF as it’s a great outlet for documentaries!

Spent a great weekend filming in Gibsland, Louisiana to wrap the documentary about OL Coleman who went from being enslaved in Mississippi to founding Coleman College to help newly emancipated slaves assimilate into society. Props to the great work to my running buddies and . Producer Adrienne Lopez and to John Marks for trusting us to tell this amazing story!

What’s cool about this gig is that I’m constantly meeting heroes. It was an honor to film Hall of Fame Sports Writer William Rhoden who was fantastic in “The Bright Path: The Johnny Bright Story” and will be in an upcoming project we’re producing with the Harlem Globetrotters!!!!

And, I’m personally so honored to congratulate on winning the Best Editor Award for the entire festival!! What a huge achievement, Luke, and so well deserved!!!!

There are so many people to thank for last nights premiere of “When Everyone Swims” at the - what an amazing venue. and you guys really know how to throw a party!

Thanks to the crew Jon Goynshor, , .weath Adrienne Lopez and Barbara Rude Harkness for their amazing work. So many more to thank which I will do at a later time.
