What’s cool about this gig is that I’m constantly meeting heroes. It was an honor to film Hall of Fame Sports Writer William Rhoden who was fantastic in “The Bright Path: The Johnny Bright Story” and will be in an upcoming project we’re producing with the Harlem Globetrotters!!!!

And, I’m personally so honored to congratulate on winning the Best Editor Award for the entire festival!! What a huge achievement, Luke, and so well deserved!!!!

There are so many people to thank for last nights premiere of “When Everyone Swims” at the - what an amazing venue. and you guys really know how to throw a party!
Huge thanks to and for attending - both are first class athletes and first class people! Thanks to our partner , especially .mir.iam .m .law and for hosting the panel!
Thanks to the crew Jon Goynshor, , .weath Adrienne Lopez and Barbara Rude Harkness for their amazing work. So many more to thank which I will do at a later time. Thanks again for all involved and let’s all do what we can to bring water safety, water literacy and drowning prevention to our communities!

It’s a wrap! It was bitter sweet to finish filming one of our latest documentary projects “Coleman College - the Forgotten HBCU: a Story of Generational Pride”. It tells the story of John Marks, a three time Mayor of Tallahassee who travels the South to find out more about his great Grandfather OL Coleman who was enslaved, emancipated and miraculously started a school for newly freed men and women.

Huge thanks to my producing partner in crime for getting this project started. Huge thanks to and for making this important and difficult narrative so much fun. And the biggest thanks to John Marks for his trust.

Excited to release this next summer. Stay tuned for future details!

Had a fantastic time on a panel at the Swimming Live festivities hanging with these amazing ladies - Olympic gold medalist and Dr. Angela Beale-Tawfeeq from We also lucked out and we bumped into Gold Medalist doing his thing with Speedo!
If you’re Indy you gotta check out downtown during the Olympic swimming trials!!

The USA Olympic Swimming Trials are in Indy and on behalf of Studio Auteur, Diversity in Aquatics and Lincolnwoodland Productions, we’re excited to be screening a 25 minute teaser of “When Everyone Swims” next Thursday and Sunday at Indy’s best movie theater experience

30 years ago I directed a documentary called “Facing the Facade” about Black student life at Indiana University s predominant white college campus.

Now 30 years later, I cannot be more proud of the students who took the P435 class to work in teams to create their own “Facing the Facade” type documentaries. Thanks to for creating the class, thanks to the Black Philanthropy Circle for their support and a huge thanks to Susanne Schwibs for co-teaching the class. I was also a student of Susanne’s in 1990! Shout out to Jens and Brian

Finally thanks to the professors and IU Libraries Moving Image Archives.

I’m just so blown away by the talent and professionalism of these students from IU’s Media School, they did such an amazing job. Be on the look out for their films
