Ang tanong: bakit may tumatanggap?

VP SARA DUTERTE: IMPEACHMENT NOT A PRIORITY

Vice President Sara Duterte said Wednesday that monitoring impeachment proceedings against her is “not a priority” of her office, emphasizing her focus on official duties.

She downplayed the House Justice Committee hearings on two revived impeachment complaints, which allege misuse of public funds and a death threat against President Ferdinand Marcos.

Duterte did not comment on her defense preparations, noting that her counsel, Atty. Michael Poa, would address any questions on her behalf.

Contractor or Not? Gonzales Denial Raises Questions

Congressman D**g Gonzales recently denied being a contractor since assuming public office. On its own, the statement seems clear. But the details around it tell a more complicated story.

The Gonzales family owns ADG Construction, a company now led by his son Brenz Gonzales, the current Vice Mayor of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Despite the congressman’s denial, the firm remains active—and firmly within the family.

What draws attention is a previous interview where Vice Mayor Brenz Gonzales openly admitted and even proudly stated that they are contractors handling government projects.

This leaves the public with an uncomfortable contrast:
If the congressman is no longer a contractor, was the Vice Mayor mistaken in his own declaration—or is the denial relying on a technical distinction never explained to the public?

No accusations are being made. But when public statements within the same family appear to contradict each other, questions naturally follow.

And in public service, unanswered questions tend to speak the loudest.
