NEW Arts Connect ART THROB PODCAST!
The gift of time during the pandemic gave birth to many great projects one of which was a book titled - EAT YOUR CARROT CAKE: LIFE, ART, COMMUNITY AND COOKERY - stories and recipes from Alfalfa Restaurant - soon to be published (it's in design and layout right now).
I talk to Marina Ubaldi Ritter and Lucinda Zoe, two of the women who worked there in the '70s and who formed the Carrot Cake Collective, a group of 10 old employees, to compile this book.

Michael Morris has travelled over 250,000 miles across Kentucky taking black and white photographs and collecting stories. This time he tells his story in our conversation.
He has an exhibition opening at The Kentucky Folk Art Center in Morehead on 1st August - 1 December.

Georgia Henkel is one of three artists (along with Lina Tharsing and Liz Swanson) who currently is exhibiting her work in the AXIS MUNDI show at the Lexington Art League.
Not your usual collector of treasure, Georgia has spent her lifetime hoarding bones, skin, flotsam and sundry organic matter that she has turned into intricate tableaux.
