While it might seem like Croton-on-Hudson, NY, has more political blogs per capita than anywhere else in the world, you will soon discover that this one is different. For instance, blogs like Watch Croton and EverythingCroton have clear partisan slants. By contrast, the purpose of this site is not to promote or oppose a particular political party; rather, it is to dig deep into the issues that mat
ter to Croton. I began this website as a research project during my last semester at SUNY Empire State College. While other political blogs frequently make posts based solely on opinions, everything on this site is data driven. The premise of every article is to answer any question of interest to observers of Croton politics, using empirical evidence. Personally, I was once an active supporter of the Croton Democrats, until they failed to support my successful candidacy for Village Trustee in 2012. After I decided not to run for re-election in 2014, I ceased being an active Croton Democrats member, yet I also refused to become a supporter of the Croton United party. Currently, I support neither party in the Village, and I believe that unusual characteristic makes me even more qualified to undertake this project.
