Since I have been messing around and putting some ideas down...I came up with this. There are a lot of details of the narrative hidden in this...but who thinks that Ox9 needs a badass 4-panel wide liner notes?! I'd make a massive painting of this an have it scanned and then printed on the smaller scale...this is what I was talking about biting off earlier. What do you think?

The newest set of transmissions and the first of the 'Red Series' has made its way to Ohio where they now call their home. One of my old college friends and has even voiced a part on Ox 3 as well as helped with a handful of the liners! One of my dearest friends and the one friend I have that I don't have to be PC with and watch my tongue around. One of my favorite stories to tell involves both if us when we were in college...he wanted to do his own hip-hop hour on Saturday nights. He was willing to run it all himself and make the playlists and even put the music in the system. Our teachers gave him the green light to put music in the system and he would do a fake hour with them as a trial run AND I'm sure he would have gotten it if I hadn't noticed a couple of the songs! I was actually pulling for him to get it because I knew he really wanted to do this hour, but I don't know who sings it but he put the song 'Ni**as Bleed' into the system. I stared at it shell shocked and wanted so desperately to put it into the system playlist and have it go over the air and see the chaos and destruction it would cause...'some people just want to see the world burn' is the phrase I associate so freely with this moment because I was that kid :p I somehow managed to restrain myself from doing so...but I also pointed it out to him and he thought I just hated hip-hop and was against his style of music since I was a 'headbanger' to the marrow of my bones! I told him that wasn't the case and said if he needed someone to cover for them one week it would be me...and I couldn't play that song on the air because of (1) I'm sure the FCC would have a problem with me saying that word on air, but more importantly (2) I would have gotten shot for doing it! I have no doubt about that, especially in Dirty Dodge! We had a great laugh over the whole thing but our teachers didn't trust us at that point and scrapped the whole thing. I will always have a spot in my heart for one of my favorite college friends :)

I know we don't talk often...or much at all, and mainly that's my fault. Ever since you pushed me down the stairs and I had to tell my parents I ran into a door...but at least I didn't call the polic...

Wait. Wrong profile. Disregard that. I would however love to tell you that a big piece of the next Ox Hour has been recorded and set into place! I'm excited to tell you more about it but you'll have to wait for the details!!

There is one amongst us that the 'speak softly and carry a big stick' adage in quite magnificently embodied. Amongst my collection of friends there is one that is able to calm beasts and mortals alike. Quite a significant role because there can't be determination if without a steady hand and a quiet heart. A man gifted with a heart twice the size of a regular man's (figuratively speaking) and and astounding amount of love to be shared. I've only known him a few years but I couldn't imagine my group of friends without him. Don't be mistaken by his calm demeanor either. There IS a warrior's soul that rests inside him! Just one more piece of the puzzle that makes me the amazing person I am today! This set if Transmissions rests in Calendar as well, keeping a watchful eye on the loved ones an spirits if those he holds dear. Proud to have him as a friend and brother as well!!
