So today on my lil series ‘the science and the Siddhis of superhuman abilities’ I’m looking at ⚛️ANIMA ⚛️ (making the body atomically small) it’s an Alice in wonderland ting- 🩷

this show,- -is all about proving that science and spirituality are more in harmony than is currently accepted in the mainstream. Those who think the science says we’re only made of matter(the physical stuff we’re made of like atoms) (aka materialists) are looking at outdated science- and that’s the facts!
There are also people who think science doesn’t matter AT ALL. Which I disagree with and a lot of us do!!! So yeah this place in space is a little meeting point for the majority of us who feel somewhere in between. The surprising truth is that science and spirituality coexist beautifully- it’s the politics of it all that has prevented this from being uncovered further by now- but there has been a lot of research done on these subjects with incredible results.

With that being said this example is a lil wild to say the least. From the science side of the science and the Siddhis series- it’s a little lacklustre - There’s near no studies and research into this in any real ‘scientific’ way. BUT it’s funny to me that the spiritual teacher quoted in the first slide said the same thing as the hypothetical science done on slide 2 shows. That we humans COULD [at least hypothetically] become the size of a human hair- by simply removing all the space in between our atoms. The spiritual guide suggests that the weight/size/matter of our soul is potentially the same as we would be IN BODY if we removed all the space. (Freaky to look at for sure/even to think about/ and also opens a can of worms where if our SPIRITS have SOME matter then it’s an interesting switch on the current understanding of materialism (which says no spirit exists) that would have to be undone rather than our move towards a post materialist world- we would say they have to coexist???) 🪱🕳️🤯WORMHOLE! Big Can of worms to open (oops) but it still seems like by ?chance?, the hair size thing is consistent- the spiritual teaching and the mathematical equations work out the same! Fascinating.

Is spontaneous healing possible? Seems like it!

cool right? 💫You may have seen that I’m working on a project for the pod called The Science and the Siddhis of abilities. According to the ancient Sages, Siddhis are special abilities (what we consider superpowers) gained through following the 8 limbs of Yoga (it’s not all slamming your body into poses you know!)

I’m looking into the existing research and scientific evidence for the existence of these powers for all you curious cats and vivacious lil visionaries out there. This will be a 🤯 mini-series so hold on to your brains! 💫

The data sourced here is viewable through the link in the top right of the image- if you screenshot on iPhone you can visit the link easily through pictures-

I originally read about this stuff in Supernormal by Dean Radin - the data is over 30 years old so I imagine there’s been loads more since then but I don’t have the details to hand. (Soz)

The orthodox response to these incredible miracles being that the OG diagnoses were mistaken and while I find it unlikely because they were diagnosed through medical imaging and surgeries, biopsies and the like, MAYBE in some cases that may be true for a FEW of them- but spontaneous cures DO happen- however rare- possible is possible.

“At first glance, the term “spontaneous remission” could be misinterpreted to mean that instantaneous healing is happening, however, this not how the term is used in this medical literature. The term “spontaneous” as it relates to remission or regression is used when a patient shows a significantly measurable reduction in tumor size, or a reversal in the progression of a disease, and when this improvement cannot be attributed to Western allopathic medical treatment.”- IONS

right so imagine one day you suddenly start speaking another language which you’ve never previously learned or been exposed to???? You’d be like ummmm wtf. Well I would. I’d think I was being possessed or something and ummm the truth is studies show that *** in a way**** it’s basically like you ARE?!?!! But not spooky more like transcendent + interconnected n that

🌎Xenoglossy is rare but has been studied and is deffo legit. Another ‘concept that makes me curious about consciousness ™’ so I’m branding that lol - expect this page to be loads of those!!

✨What I wonder is:

Could Xenoglossy be evidence for the survival of consciousness beyond the physical body?

Does it suggest a spiritual realm?

It certainly raises questions about the origins of language and linguistic abilities challenging conventional explanations ANDDD invites further study into the possibility of a collective unconscious or shared repository of knowledge transcending individual experience.

Xenoglossy prompts us to contemplate the concept of reincarnation + past lives, and to consider whether these experiences reflect a continuity of consciousness across different lifetimes.

As we study Xenoglossy ‘encounters’ through the scientific method we are confronted with the limitations of our understanding of reality and the boundaries of human consciousness.

Xenoglossy offers a glimpse into the interconnectedness of all beings and the universe, inviting us to explore the mysteries of existence with open minds and compassionate hearts.

Do you think Xenoglossy is evidence for a collective consciousness?

I love to post about concepts that make me curious about the mind and consciousness and- Synesthesia, the phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory pathway leads to involuntary experiences in another, challenges conventional boundaries of human perception in a way that’s v cool to me.

I was like 13 or 14 when I found out about synesthesia because a boy that I fancied said he had it and obvs I thought that was coooool. Now I know more about it and the variations, I believe I actually experience sound as texture, but it’s weird to think of what you know as not normal if you get me?!

synesthesia also challenges Cartesian dualism (obvs) by suggesting interconnectedness between sensory modalities and the brain. The complex neural pathways involved in synesthetic experiences blur distinctions between self and world, highlighting the intricate workings of the mind. This suggests a deeper unity underlying perceptual diversity and prompts exploration into the nature of consciousness + just like that blue and gold dress, draws attention to how differently we all percieve our NOT SO objective reality.

Synesthesia offers valuable insights into the potential of human perception, revealing the richness and diversity of subjective experiences. It calls for careful study and consideration, urging us to avoid reducing it to mere novelty. Approaching synesthesia with caution and respect for its complexity is essential. Recognizing its significance in expanding our understanding of perception is crucial for uncovering insights into the workings of the mind and the nature of subjective experience.

Please comment if you have synesthesia! Or think you might after reading the last slide👀 🥰✨ super interesting!!! :)

as u probs know if u follow me on here, my PASSION lol is the scientific study of profound human experience✨ (spiritual s**t) —-and when I talk about the brilliant scientists at and their work, let it be known that they are RIGOROUSLY following the scientific method to come to the conclusions they do. So much of what I talk about on this page and podcast is based upon the studies of these guys 🧬 🧪 🧫 - so yeah, thought it would be cool to share this quote from a Ted talk I watched recently which is a succinct description of the scientific method! enjoy🪱👩‍🔬🌎

PS soz for going awol for a bit ya girl has to survive the horrors n that but so much good stuff coming and my big goal is consistency with episodes so watch this space 💫 👀💚 big love!

Several philosophers have delved into the intersection of ethics and emotions, offering insights into how emotions play a crucial role in moral decision-making.

Here are a few notable philosophers in this realm:

✨Martha Nussbaum explores the crucial relationship between emotions and ethics, emphasising their significance in moral reasoning. “emotions are not just the fuel that powers the psychological mechanism of a reasoning creature, they are parts, highly complex and messy parts, of this creature’s reasoning itself.”

✨Robert Solomon, known for existentialist philosophy, highlights emotions as integral to ethical life, shaping perspectives and influencing behaviour. “We are all much more simply human than otherwise, be we happy and successful, contented and detached, miserable and mentally disordered, or whatever.”

✨Nel Noddings, a care ethics proponent, underscores the importance of emotions, empathy, and relationships in ethical decision-making.”Ethics is about how we meet the challenge of doing what is right when that will cost more than we want to pay.”

✨Jesse Prinz, a contemporary philosopher, challenges the separation of reason and emotion in ethical judgments, highlighting the role of emotions in. “Moral emotions are not just superior moral motivators; they also provide some moral guidance.”

✨William James, a founder of American psychology and philosophy, examines the pragmatic aspects of emotions with implications for ethical decision-making.
“The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.”

✨Iris Murdoch’s extensive work emphasises the role of emotions in moral life, challenging detached moral reasoning.”The concept of autonomy has to be supplemented by the concept of attention.”

✨Jonathan Haidt, primarily a psychologist, explores moral psychology, highlighting the emotional underpinnings of moral judgments. “Morality binds and blinds. It binds us into ideological teams that fight each other as though the fate of the world depended on our side winning each battle.”

If you didn’t know I have a whole episode about all this called ‘thinking about emotions’ available on the podcast 🎙️ 😍🫶

in my recent episode of the podcast- ‘thinking about feelings’ - I talk a bit about this book and quote the author:

Pete Walker’s 📕 CPTSD: from surviving to thriving

When I got this book in 2018 it…..not to be dramatic….changed my life- it made such an impact on me and made me feel seen heard and understood when I was struggling a lot-

It also got me keener on reading non fiction which has got us here to this podcast so it’s full ⭕️

If you have cPTSD or other trauma disorders I can’t recommend enough that you READ IT! it’s genuinely the best book I’ve read on the topic it’s a cut above the rest- and I love his writing style and that he speaks from experience but is also someone who treats trauma survivors so there’s other stories too🖤

It’s different to other books and at least made me feel hella understood when I needed it most so big up and big love to big Pete Walker x

UTOPIA, DYSTOPIA, USTOPIA?…A collective imagination in which our ecological + our social well-being go hand in hand- people over profit.✨

did one of the best ted talks I’ve seen in ages recently- and the ideas ARE sooo worth spreading that instead of my usual daily Ted story breakdown/review, I have put the transcript into this grid post for y’all because it is really inspiring and important!! I recommend you watch the actual talk which is titled on the upper right corner of the first slide- just type it into YouTube.

I was super excited to find out that Ruha Benjamin (the speaker) also has a book out from 2022 called ‘Viral Justice: how we grow the world we want’ so I’ve ordered that and we’ll do a lil dive into that soon☺️✨

“Deadly systems may seem durable, but they're not inevitable. And we don’t have to simply click: submit. We can each work to strengthen the social fabric in our own locale and create a shared vision in which no one is left behind.

We can follow the example of data justice organizers in Barcelona, forest defenders in Atlanta, imagining and crafting the worlds we cannot live without, just as we dismantle the ones we cannot live within. The first step is to stop policing the borders of our own imagination.”

The world we want to live in is possible 🌎 when we all stand up for what we believe in, we topple the systems that work to oppress us and create a world that truly nurtures US.

Episode 9 of the podcast had me talking a lot about how we are over prioritising technological evolution above collective human empowerment. For me it’s an arm of capitalism that with different intentions could have positive impact- but with profit ad the number one driver- its just creating further inequality - technology itself can be extraordinary- but why is it’s progression in unnecessary sectors eclipsing the real issues in our societies? We always have money for rockets but never enough for housing or universal basic income in the minds of those controlling the world’s wallet. I could go on loads but there’s a character limit🙃- but what do you guys think? Comment a 🌎 if you agree w Ruha ###

cool words and concepts I’ve found out about recently! 🐞

If you’re anything like me u might have been the type of kid to sometimes read the dictionary for fun- (hi dorks!)

I didn’t do that to learn THESE words, they were in other books/talks/articles etc, but how cool!!! The Noosphere and the Ruliad are my favourites

So the ruliad is super interesting but v abstract and complicated for my poor brain!!

So the concept of the "Ruliad," is representing the entangled limit of all computational possibilities, and draws intriguing parallels to the Butterfly Effect from chaos theory🦋.

In both cases, they underscore the profound consequences of initial conditions and the complexity of interconnected systems. The Butterfly Effect exemplifies how a seemingly minor event, like the flap of a butterfly's wings, can trigger a cascade of changes in a chaotic system. Similarly, the Ruliad's exploration of infinite computational rules and initial conditions illustrates how even the slightest variations in the fundamental parameters can lead to an immense spectrum of outcomes, emphasizing the intricate web of possibilities that emerge within computational models. Just as the Butterfly Effect demonstrates the sensitivity of chaos, the Ruliad delves into the vast expanse of computational possibilities, shedding light on the intricate interplay of rules, conditions, and their far-reaching implications. If you know about the Mandela effect (a phenomenon where a large group of people remembers an event, fact, or detail one way FOR SURE, despite evidence to the contrary- suggesting a possible shift between multi-verses- the ruliad is basically the space where all the versions of all the minor timeline shifts etc would ALL exist.✨ (yes many examples will probs be to do w/ collective memory just being wrong, but not all of them!)

What’s the best concept/word you’ve found recently?

💕

Parallel universes are theorised, speculated about, considered and believed in across the globe and from cultures and people far and wide. There are science backed theories, shamanic backed journeys, and human backed stories. So what’s the big idea!?

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN!? What are the implications? Who are you really? If everything is possible because everything happens, WHY THIS hellscape? It raises questions about the possibility of our world doing a Riverdale-to- Rivervale-ting and going into another version of your life that is just ever so slightly different, and maybe in another time? But If you CAN travel to other dimensions and realms, how do you do it? What lies beyond the edges of the observable universe? Is it possible that our universe is just one of many in a much larger multiverse? Perhaps your mind has quantum potentials and you have already ‘jumped’ to another world, where only one little thing is different. How would you even know if you had?

Some astrophysicists have proposed that dark matter and dark energy, (which might constitute as much as 95% of the total content of our universe), might get their mysterious and otherwise unexplainable substance and tremendous energy from parallel universes. One thought is that our consciousness is also connected in a similar way.

Membranes theory has nine dimensions + 1 could be time. Deja vu then, could be a parallel universe phenomena. Like maybe we have the sense of having had a particular experience or been in a particular place because in a different universe we have already had the same experience.👀👀 In terms of our conscious experience, precognitive qualities of dreams might also be explained by the ability of the mind to jump from one ‘membrane’ to another, through dimensions of time, returning with information from one of our possible futures? Plenty of people feel intuitively that there are places where the “split between the worlds” is accessible and the “veil that separates universes is quite thin.” So why is it still so taboo?
