In this episode of The Mariah Effect, I open up about my personal journey with mental health, both the struggles I’ve faced and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
From working in crisis centers to leading in the DARE program, each experience shaped my understanding of what it means to support others while navigating my own challenges.
I talk about the power of therapy, even when it feels overwhelming, and how self care, empathy, and community support have been essential tools in my healing. I’ve learned that setting boundaries is not selfish; it’s necessary. And, recognizing your own pain is the first step toward offering real help to others.
This episode is an honest reflection on the complexity of mental health, the importance of awareness, and the hope we can find in shared stories and collective healing. 🤍
