We all know Gear 5 turned Luffy into the legendary Sun God Nika, the same figure remembered by the ancient elephant, Zunesha. But what if I told you… Luffy is actually the third person to awaken the true powers of the Hito Hito no Mi, Model Nika.

The first was likely Joy Boy, the mysterious figure from the Void Century. All signs point to him having the same fruit and using its powers to bring freedom and laughter to the world just like Luffy.

But here’s where it gets wild.

At Egghead, the ancient iron giant suddenly awakened when it heard Luffy’s heartbeat of liberation. That robot? Built over 800 years ago possibly by Joy Boy himself. But records show it also woke up around 200 years ago. And Luffy wasn’t born yet.

Which means…

Someone else, a second Nika user, must have awakened the fruit’s power around 200 years ago. Maybe they tried to stand against the Celestial Dragons. Maybe they failed. But they existed.

So now we have:
1️⃣ Joy Boy
2️⃣ The mystery user from 200 years ago
3️⃣ Monkey D. Luffy

The legacy of Nika lives on and Luffy is just the latest to carry the torch.
