Lose a fkton of organic search traffic this year?🤫 You’re not alone. In 2025, many sites lost a significant share of organic traffic to zero-click search and AI answers. Current estimates put zero-click rates at ~60–69%, meaning most searches now end without a website visit.
🙏🏽Thankfully, my brands have seen minimal losses (~0-7%) thanks to:
1️⃣Diversifying and ramping up non-search distribution, especially social (with strategic spend if you can swing it) and non-spammy email, WHILE
2️⃣Optimizing for AI visibility, not just rankings. Figure out the best high impact improvements to ensure mentions/ citations in AI search continue to grow (make sure your site is open to AI crawlers, enable llms.txt sitemaps, build website and brand authority, schema improvement, etc.)
3️⃣And, NOT abandoning proven SEO fundamentals that will continue to drive traffic in 2026. I've seen too many founders put all their eggs into stupid, futuristic baskets when the key to any solid strategy is a meaningful
✧•·.·´¯·.·• diversification •·.·´¯·.·•✧ of approaches, old and new.
No silos + having ownership of holistic digital marketing strategy as a fractional employee and consultant has helped when it comes to making necessary changes FAST😅
