The ECWA President's football championship was inaugurated at Jos township Stadium on Monday 26th May 2025. The ECWA Executives, ECWA Trustee, Directors and Heads of Unit graced the occasion with the first match played between Bukuru and Kwoi DCCs, followed by players from Miango and Tangale DCCs. The week-long competition will be rounded up on Saturday 31st May, 2025. The purpose of the Sports Ministry is to encourage ECWA members to reach out to others with the gospel through sports.

The Reversal of the splitting of Kano ECWA DCC can only be done by the General Church Council which is the highest body of our church says ECWA President Dr Ayuba Bagat

I can not reverse the decision of the General Council of ECWA who split the Kano DCC says ECWA President Dr Ayuba Bagat .
We had dialogued with them ,but to no avail fro now he added

The 72nd ECWA General Church Council (GCC) began on Tuesday 29th April, 2025 and ended on Friday 2nd May, 2025. The Council meeting was rounded off with a release of a Communique which bordered on Church and National matters. On Church matters, the Communique announced the resolution to create some District Church Councils, Department and Institutions; while on National matters, the Council commended the effort of the Government in tackling insecurity and economic hardship, and, further, urged her to make more proactive efforts as the problems were still soaring up.

The General Church Council constitutes of the ECWA Executive, ECWA Trustees and Chairmen, Secretaries and Delegates of all DCCs. Also in attendance were the ECWA Heads of Departments and Institutions.
