It all started with a philosophy. Life is a movie. If you live based on entertainment, life will always be compelling and interesting. Life has cycles: beginnings, middles, and ends: the three-act structure. The seeds of TimePsyc were laid long before the name, or even before Rami Joseph Anderson channeled Cronus in 2010 and became Rami Time...
It all began in the childhood of an adept storyteller who looked at life like a stageplay, and learned to direct it like a conductor playing the orchestra. He constantly wrote, played pretend, and as soon as he got his hands on a camcorder he begam learning cinematography and mastering perspective angles and iconic archetypal characters that leaped off the screen.
In 2007, Rami emerged on the YouTube scene with Shining Star and then Golden Sun, both gartering critical acclaim throughout the school and local communities. Music videos and short skit videos floated the original channels Espio981 and then RamiESQ. Eventually these channels would be left behind in favor of more serious content, but this era encompassed growth and technique cultivation.
TimePsyc truly began in 2013 with MiscMoments: Season 2. This project kept the improvised nature of the first season with an overarching plot that built every episode and ended with a highly satisfying conclusion considering the nature of the show. After the Misc Moments series ended, a series of short films would follow, with smaller shorts sprinkled in between. A piece on Sigmund Freud: The Seduction Theory, The Case of Bridey Murphy (based on a true story), Souled Out, The Spirit Guide, and Cuban Illusion were all flagship 15-minute short films that cemented an effective storytelling formula. Each project raises the bar as far as techniques and equipment go.
In 2016 TimePsyc stepped into 2D animation with a fully stop-motion intro sequence and a short animated film called Satanic Ritual and Chill. The same year, Rami Time interned for Dave Brock, producing a Stephen King film adaptation of The Woman in the Room. The Behind the Scenes Documentary was shot and edited and released online. TimePsyc would also go on in 2017 to shoot in Cuba and Egypt. Also this year, TimePsyc was involved with the organizing and shooting the documentary for Free-The-Nipple, a topless freedom movement empowering women. Free-The-Nipple would go on to win a Tower Award for Best Nonfiction. In 2018, TimePsyc shot the first season of the West Virginia Explorer which would go on to release to outstanding acclaim.
Other recent accolades were behind the scenes spots for the United Way and a promotional ad for Jennifer Pharr, who won her bid for City Council at Large in 2018. Rami began teaching at the Lighthouse Institute in late 2018 and created the school’s film program using the TimePsyc infrastructure to outstanding success in Spring 2019 with Silent School. The Egypt Explorer trailer released to outstanding acclaim. Over 2019 TimePsyc has been producing content for the months to come. Also, West Virginia Explorer: Season 2 is on the horizon. More short films and longer-form multi-platform entertainment are coming.
The message of TimePsyc has always been about making the world a better place, and enlightening people through high quality content that is more than just a movie. The message and the spiritual weight that goes along with each hand-made quality project is paramount. Quality over quantity, and every detail matters.
