Over the next four years, the Next Narrative Africa Fund will inject $40 million into the African creative economy to support high-impact audiovisual projects from the continent and its diaspora.

Announced at the United Nations General Assembly, the fund is spearheaded by , a multimedia entertainment production company telling African stories for global impact and HEVA Fund, a Nairobi-based creative industries-focused investments, advisory and knowledge solutions group.

The fund is backed by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and USAID’s Prosper Africa. The aim of this effort is to empower African filmmakers to tell stories that both entertain and reshape global perceptions of the continent.
