Hi everyone! My name is Rapha Conrad (Choreographer, Dancer, and Content Creator). Some of you might know (or not yet) but I have been working on my first documentary, "For the Kommunity". To be brief what the synopsis of the film is about, it's about the history and journey of the Mythical Beasts, fans of Rhett and Link (legendary Youtubers and hosts of Good Mythical Morning).
In my 7.5 years of both working on the film and being a fan, there are so many stories and moments (both for R&L and the fandom) that are inspirational and uplifting. I and those involved with film have put together a very inventive, beyond creative way to share this story; something (in my own humbled opinion) has never been done in film (including documentaries).
The goal for 2025 is to conclude this journey by finishing strong and premiering the film before this year is over. There is still a few more weeks left to film before we head into Post-Production. The only challenge is receiving funding in time. The majority of the film has been self-funded by yours truly. The good news I have received some donations from both online fundraiser(s) and in-person fundraiser(s), along with some support from businesses in North Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Ohio, Georgia, California, Texas, and Tennessee.
While I (as Producer, Co-director, and lots of hats I wear for the documentary) enjoy so much working on the film, it still has its challenges both creatively and personally (I will talk about that in an upcoming episode of the podcast "An Undoubtedly Spectacularly Mythical Journey").
I know "For the Kommunity" will be a soon-to-be masterpiece. Whether if you are familiar with Rhett and Link/Good Mythical Morning or not (yet), the messages in the film is what the World needs (how to understand and appreciate one another, power in togetherness, wonders of creativity, and perseverance).
