"Η επιλογή να τοποθετηθούν οκτώ κλασικοί από διαφορετικές περιόδους ο ένας δίπλα στον άλλο, σε γρήγορη ανάγνωση τουλάχιστον, έχει κάθε λόγο να κριθεί ως υπερβολικά φιλόδοξη. Στην πράξη, για εξήντα λεπτά οι αποστάσεις ανάμεσά τους μοιάζουν να ελαχιστοποιούνται και η εικόνα καθαρίζει χωρίς ιδιαίτερη δυσκολία. Η ροή αφήνει μια ανεπιτήδευτα φυσική αίσθηση. Ο σεβασμός που διακατέχει το εγχείρημα ξεχωρίζει από το πρώτο μέχρι το τελευταίο δευτερόλεπτο."

Μεγάλη λύπη νιώσαμε με το που μάθαμε ότι ο αγαπημένος μας Oratos σταματάει την λειτουργία του.

Για την Submersion Records ο Ορατός ήταν ένα πολύ σημαντικό κομμάτι της ιστορίας μας καθώς στον φιλόξενο χώρο του γιορτάσαμε γενέθλια, οργανώσαμε συναυλίες και φυσικά ακούσαμε πολύ μουσική και είδαμε πολύ τέχνη.
Ένα από τα λίγα μαγαζιά στην Θεσσαλονίκη τα οποία έδωσαν βήμα σε μουσικούς και καλλιτέχνα τα οποία έκαναν κάτι διαφορετικό να παρουσιάσουν την δουλειά τους.

Ο λόγος που παίρνουμε δημόσια θέση δεν είναι μόνο συναισθηματικός αλλά και γιατί πολλά άτομα που αγαπούν την μουσική και τις τέχνες δεν έχουν επαρκή ενημέρωση για το πόσο δύσκολο είναι να υπάρξει στην Ελλάδα μια εναλλακτική μουσική σκηνή η οποία προσφέρει ευκαιρίες σε μουσικούς να παρουσιάσουν την δουλειά τους στο κοινό που μπορεί να ενδιαφέρεται για αυτήν.

Με ένα κράτος που όχι μόνο δεν ενδιαφέρεται να στηρίξει κάτι τέτοιο αλλά αντίθετα στηρίζει οικονομικές δυνάμεις που μόνο προβλήματα δημιουργούν στο οικοσύστημα της μουσικής. Airbnb και ξενοδοχεία, γραφειοκρατία αλλά και η ίδια η κυβέρνηση μέσω υπηρεσιών και παράλογων κανόνων της φτιάχνουν ένα περιβάλλον εχθρικό προς το μουσικό οικοσύστημα.

Όλα τα άτομα που ασχολούμαστε με την εναλλακτική μουσική στην Ελλάδα το κάνουμε με μεγάλο κόστος, ψυχικό και οικονομικό πολλές φορές. Το κάνουμε γιατί νιώθουμε πως δεν γίνεται να μην το κάνουμε. Από τον Ορατό κρατάμε τις όμορφες αναμνήσεις που μας χάρισε και το ανοιχτό μυαλό και πνεύμα του που μας ενέπνευσε.
Μακάρι κάποια στιγμή και η πόλη και η χώρα αντί να διώχνουν τους ανθρώπους που κάνουν κάτι αξιόλογο να τους στηρίξουν.

"Nowhen Sonatas" draws inspiration from classical music and presents work of well known composers through this darkness of mine's own unique ambient-neoclassical style.

This Darkness of Mine asks a simple question: what happens if classical music is removed from history?
If it is no longer Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionist, but suspended outside of time?
What if the sonatas are so broken apart and changed that there is no internal structure of the pieces we loved through the centuries?

Our June radio show for Stegi Radio is up!

We invited Myrsini Kalle to curate a mix presenting her unique aesthetic.

Myrsini Kalle is an Athens-based musician and ethnomusicologist specializing in ambient electronic music. Drawing inspiration from artists like Stars of the Lid, Air, and Boards of Canada, she combines her piano and choral background with rich textures to create immersive soundscapes.

This episode features new and old tracks with a common aesthetic: liquid rhythms, flowing atmospheres, orchestral arrangements and sounds. Fragments of classical and jazz composition appear in dialogue with slow moving drones and evolving textures in an hour of quiet meditation in time and space.
