“It’s not the absence of the trial, but rather walking in the Spirit through the trial that gives us strength. Not just to barely hold on, but to be content.”

Paul stated, “For I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound…I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:11–13).

We are the faith-filled creatives and dreamers,
Those who paint, write, and imagine with hearts aligned to heaven.
We believe beauty is sacred,
And that creativity is not a hobby—it’s a holy calling.

We are the seekers of sacred depth,
Women who dig beneath the surface in search of the God who sees, speaks, and stays.
We are rooted in truth, not trends.
Our questions do not disqualify us—they draw us closer to the mystery of grace.

We are modern-day theologians in cozy corners,
Pouring over Scripture with tea-stained pages and open hearts.
We know God’s Word isn’t just for scholars—it’s for mothers, mentors, artists, and wanderers too.

We are rooted souls in a hurried world,
Choosing slow mornings, lit candles, and sacred pauses
Over hustle, hurry, and noise.

We are hearts drawn to holy beauty,
Attuned to the wonder in wildflowers, snowfall, silence, and psalms.
We see the sacred in the everyday
And know that worship is woven into laundry, laughter, and lament.

We are sisters across miles and seasons,
Bound not by buildings but by Christ.
Even when we’ve never met, we carry one another’s burdens through shared stories and gentle prayers.

We are the makers of meaning,
Baking bread and writing poems,
Planting gardens and lighting Advent candles—
All as acts of devotion.

We are contemplatives in a sometimes noisy church,
Disillusioned at times, but never without hope.
We still show up. We still believe.
We long for the ancient rhythms of grace and the quiet leading of the Spirit.

We are question-askers and grace-dwellers,
Unrushed by answers,
Unmoved by performance,
Unwavering in our trust that God is with us—even here.

We are kindred spirits with kingdom purpose,
Called to speak truth, seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly.
We are not alone.
We are women of the Word, and we are walking together.

We are The Truly Collective. We’re so glad you’re here🤍.

I had been praying for a breakthrough for several months. Circumstances in one area of my life had left me with a weary heart.

For weeks, I had been waiting, praying, seeking, and believing in faith for God to show up in a way only he could. In this wilderness space, the truth of God’s faithfulness came through Scripture, in words from an encouraging friend and from his still, small voice in the quiet. Yet nothing changed.

I was certain of his nearness yet saw no forward movement. I ached for a sign of hope. I felt as though I was out in the ocean in a rowboat, waiting for a rescue, with nothing in sight.

One morning in prayer, I was struck with the question: What if nothing ever changes? A fear had been unearthed from a deep place in my heart.

What if I put all my trust in God’s faithfulness in my life, only to be disappointed? What if he doesn’t come through for me?

Do these fears and worries resonate? Often our waiting seasons are so much more about a deeper work God is doing within us than the “thing” for which we are praying. Melanie Bedogne’s full article () on thetrulyco.com will speak to your heart.

Lessons from Seagulls and Waves 🌊What the sea taught me about patience, purpose, and provision.

Watching seagulls on the shoreline during my family vacation to visit the sea changed my perspective on breakthrough moments (who isn’t waiting for a breakthrough in some area after all?!).

Here’s what I learned:
Not every wave delivers the fish—some are empty, others churn too much sand. But the seagull doesn’t panic or chase every crash of water. It waits.

There’s profound wisdom in this. The seagull knows its role: it doesn’t try to control the tide, it trusts the rhythm and watches with precision. Your season of waiting isn’t wasted time—it’s preparation time. You’re not falling behind; you’re getting positioned.

When you’re wired to strive, it’s tempting to believe your breakthrough must come now. But God’s timing flows like the sea—endless, certain, sovereign. There is always another wave. Missed opportunities don’t mean missed purpose. The door that closed wasn’t your door.

Like the seagull, we’re called to live watchful—not frantic. Alert, not anxious. Faith says: what’s meant for me won’t pass me by. There’s a difference between being ready and being restless. One positions you for breakthrough; the other positions you for burnout.

For the kingdom-minded achiever, this isn’t about passive waiting—it’s about active trust. Your role is not to force the ocean, but to discern the wave where the Spirit is moving. Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is wait for the right moment to act.

Don’t waste energy chasing every wave. Stand where God placed you. Watch. Wait. And when the moment comes—move with precision and purpose. He will bring the provision.

If you’re waiting for your own breakthrough right now, you’re on my heart. And I’d love to invite you to Truly’s content call — it’s for our whole community 🤍. Registration link is in our bio!

XO- Lindsay

Your faithfulness in the waiting seasons determines your readiness for the breakthrough seasons. Trust His timing. Trust His provision. Trust His plan.

July Mantra: Summer Blessings in Christ

In this season of abundant light, may you be reminded that Christ calls you the light of the world, and like the summer sun that rises early and sets late, His love illuminates every corner of your days.

The warmth that kisses your skin whispers of His tender care, and in the longer days may you find His invitation to savor each moment as a gift unwrapped fresh each morning.

The gentle summer rains that refresh the earth remind you of His grace that falls softly on your weary soul, and in the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers may you catch glimpses of the beauty He sees in you.

When the heat grows intense, remember that even in life’s most challenging seasons, His presence is your shade and His peace your cooling refuge.

Trust that just as He clothes the lilies of the field in splendor, He adorns your life with purpose and hope.

🏠Dwelling is more than just your address. You can abide with Jesus wherever he plants you.

“After living in various homes, I’ve learned it isn’t so much about where I dwell, but what I dwell on. Maybe you’ve experienced this too.

Although the Israelites felt discouraged about their new home, Jeremiah had good news: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11).

As a priest and prophet, Jeremiah regularly communicated God’s heart of justice and grace. Even though he lived through a time of siege, destruction, and exile, Jeremiah was still faithful to God’s call, regardless of his location.

What about us—are we integrating into the community where God has planted us, even if it’s hostile to biblical values?

Although Jeremiah was originally addressing the Israelites, we can still glean encouragement from his message today. Our address may change, but our faith doesn’t have to. We can have a sure foundation in Christ, regardless of our dwelling place. God still has a good plan for us, and we can trust his plans no matter where we live.“

Psalm 23, a beloved passage in Scripture, grants us real-life examples of spiritual steadfastness throughout a variety of circumstances.

From green pastures to still waters, through the valley of the shadow of death to the banquet in the midst of our enemies, the psalmist guides us in how we, too, can cultivate spiritual steadfastness in tangible and practical ways.

🕊️ What is Maundy Thursday? (No, it’s not a misspelled date range in a week… I was confused for so long!) Let me share some info with you:

Maundy Thursday marks the night Jesus gathered with His disciples in an upper room—where He bent low to wash their feet, shared a final meal, and gave a new command: “Love one another as I have loved you.” (John 13:34)

On this holy night, the King of all creation knelt with towel and basin, showing us that true power is found in humble service. He broke bread, blessed the cup, and prepared to pour out His life in love.

Tonight, we remember the table, the towel, and the command to love—because Jesus didn’t just speak the gospel. He embodied it.

Let us pause, reflect, and follow Him in the way of sacrificial love.

What if fear’s greatest deception isn’t about danger—but about God’s absence?

This is the subtle but destructive work of fear—it paints a future without God and rewrites our past to forget Him.

“The nature of fear is that it creates a future scenario that does not include the power and presence of God. The enemy’s goal is that we will imagine a situation where God is absent or not in control, leaving us paralyzed to move forward.

In addition to that, fear’s nature is to give us spiritual amnesia. As it wipes him from our future, it simultaneously wipes him from our past. Suddenly we forget the majesty and magnificence of our very mighty Father.

So how do we battle fear? Though fear is not going anywhere, we don’t have to be mastered by it. Rather, we have a choice. We can lean into it and let it cripple us, or we can push away from it and turn our attention to the only One who can fight it for us.”
