We are living in an age that rewards speed, quick takes, and hot opinions. Content produced and consumed and forgotten before the week is out.

Truly magazine is something different.

It is a magazine you hold in your hands. Words on a page that don’t disappear. Theology written by women, for anyone willing to slow down and savor it. For those who crave more than inspirational quotes and want Scripture in context.

Tomorrow night, our submission window closes for our Fall 26 issue, and I find myself thinking about all the women who have something to say and haven’t said it yet. The ones sitting with an idea they aren’t sure is ready. The ones who have been told (or told themselves), in small ways and large, that their voice in this space isn’t necessary.

Your voice is necessary. It has always been necessary. We are bringing beauty and light into the world through this work. I believe that fully. This is your invitation to be part of what we’re creating, together.

All of our submission information is available on Truly’s website. Submit before tomorrow night.

If you’ve ever hovered over a Truly submission form and thought,
“Maybe someday… but not yet,” this is for you.

Most of the fears we carry about writing aren’t really about words.

They’re about being seen.
About getting something wrong.
About wondering if our voice matters.

But Truly isn’t looking for perfect prose or polished expertise.
We’re looking for faithful women who are willing to wrestle honestly with Scripture, culture, and the work God is doing in their lives.

Writing is rarely about having everything figured out first.
Often, clarity comes through the act of obedience.
Through showing up.
Through offering what we have—however small it feels—and trusting God with the rest.

If the idea of writing both excites you and scares you,
that tension might be your invitation. We don’t need louder voices. We need faithful ones.

Submissions are open—and you don’t have to walk this alone.

Honestly, it’s our favorite night of the year. You’re officially invited to join us!

Who: anyone who wants to learn about submitting an article for Truly’s next round of submissions. (Note: we only publish women… sorry guys!)

What: hear from the Truly team about our next issue theme, make new connections, and most of all, be encouraged!

Where: live on Zoom. If you can’t attend live, register anyways so you the email reminders and details.

When: Tuesday, January 20th. 7:00 pm CT (until 8:30)

But the pressure to “make the season meaningful” can feel crushing if we don’t keep our hearts in check.

The fruit God desires is not your curated holiday, it’s your softened heart. You don’t earn the fruit—you receive it through abiding.

Let’s keep this reminder on repeat as we head into Thanksgiving week! Amen?! 🫶🏼
