That list is of course far larger than the nonexistant list of violent campaigns that have won each week. To paraphrase and alter the meaning of a statement once made by that old racist imperialist Winston Churchill (he was talking about democracy), "Nonviolence is the worst form of conflict management and social struggle except for all the other methods that have been tried."
